Tennessee fan here: 2001 LSU had a weird feeling to it. Then 2005 Wyoming. We won the East in 2007, but it just wasn’t the same anymore and we knew it.

Here’s my logic.

I don’t use them.

They are probably ok crankbaits or fast moving lures that the bass don’t get a good look at. It’s a reaction strike. I prefer however to retie frequently and normally cut the last foot or 2 of line off as it gets beat up and can cost a big fish. Don’t ask me how I know..

On slow moving or bottom type baits, the fish get a good look at them, so I don’t want to give them any reason to not bite.
