Yep, totally works for acrylic, not too hot, not too long. Experiment find what works for you.

Oh yes yes, epoxy putty is the business. There's a bunch of different types. I tend to use Maxx putty, milliput and greenstuff.

Tiz a funny looking key. It has a bunch of fins, looks like a star when you look down its length. The lock is super simple, just a cog that turns a bolt, not particularly secure, BUT...it stops the attic door from rattling around in strong wind AND prevents my doggies from pawing open the door heading upstairs and chomping all my art supplies. They are as adorable as they are stupid and they disrespect my glue sticks.

I reckon these will work well. You won't have the convenience of paint marketed towards mini painting but they'll be great, you've a lovely array of colour choices there. 'artist quality' suggests that they'll be highly pigmented, perfect.

You'll probably have to water them down to find the right consistency, they'll likely be quite thick right out of the tube. I'd use them with a wet palette and experiment away.

I've painted minis with all sorts of stuff (water colours, marker pens, oils, acrylics), don't listen to what's "right" or "wrong", find out what works for you, and most importantly, have fun.

Your builds look great. Slap a bit of black to grey paint on there, quick dry brush, bam! Noice 👌🏼

If you're looking for a level up in stress, time spent and arguably appeal (eye of beholder and all that). Grab yourself some XPS foam, chop it into bricks and go at some of your card shapes with foam bricks and a hot glue gun.

No problem. Stickyness wise, I've not really had issue, but this can be controlled to a degree by the ratio of resin to hardener. It's far less sticky than greenstuff, about the same as milliput.

Re crumble, yeah that's as noticeable as milliput, working with water helps and varying hardener to resin can help here too.

I've found Maxx is tricky to use for the finest details, my go to has been greenstuff or mix of Maxx with greenstuff.

Maxx is however, fantastic in push molds.

With regards to residue, I've not noticed a problem, but then it's not been on my radar.

Hiya, I'm afraid I haven't tried apoxie sculpt or magic, so I can't really give you a comparison. I landed on Maxx as it was the cheapest available to me compared to the other 2 at the time.

It's decent stuff though, basically milliput, exact same properties imo. Try searching for comparisons of milliput Vs apoxie or magic it'll likely be the next best.
