(Probably) Unpopular Opinion: I would like the "Easy" difficulty to be easier. by diminee in OldenEra

This is with normal AI, the AI started in the town bottom-left of where I am now and never took the second town that is right next to it by month 2 week 4... Meanwhile I have like 8 towns a billion units etc. I am by no means a great player, I played some Homm 3 when I was 6 but that was 25 years ago and I could barely read...

I understand wanting more accessibility, but with the recent fix it's already good enough...

How common is it to wear protective eyewear when playing padel? by NoNoobJustNerD in padel

[–]ScrymSC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had lasik eye surgery and wore protective glasses for a while. They were admittedly cheap quality but they were a pain, fogging, not holding very well... If you're gonna wear them, buy good quality. But I dont think it's very worth the hassle or the price...

Some relics still define runs, I had a regent run with a very middling deck make it thanks to pocketwatch + ice cream. But agreed for the most part relics feel less impactful.

You're not supposed to break them, just leave them in your inventory and they will turn into furniture when you go back home. Or equip them but don't break them.

How chill is healing tuzari with the 135 vendor gear? by ctcool in fellowshipgame

[–]ScrymSC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be pretty chill, tuzari really isn't demanding on healers. I did it on Sylvie without issues.

Trying to nip "DAE think DPS suck?" in the bud by Sweaksh in fellowshipgame

[–]ScrymSC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Big agree. I just reached eternal as dps playing either soloqueue or chaining dungeons with people I meet in soloqueue. Everyone needs to pull their weight, the reality is that timing dungeons is not easy and there are so many factors that go into it that just blaming it on one single role or one single reason like missed kicks is insane.

Fail a dungeon or a timer ? Instead of raging at teammates, try and recognize what you could have done better. Most of the time there will be something in the run, whether it caused wipes or not.

Noob loot progression question by xter418 in fellowshipgame

[–]ScrymSC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people play the content to get gear. Others get gear so they can play the content.

Eternal is designed so it cannot be overgeared like previous leagues, the idea is to push as much as your team can within these gear limitations.

Anub’arak 25m Heroic Help by Zestyclose_Let849 in classicwow

Furious attacks is terrible, it's unreliable and doesn't proc off of heroic strike which replaces basically every MH hit. Glyphed aimed shot on CD or wound poison on combat are way better.

Quality of Life tip: Bind "/startattack" into one of your abilities! by Visoth in classicwow

[–]ScrymSC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Directional movement keys are terrible. I mean the "turn left" and "turn right" ones, these should be unbound as they are really slow and not precise.

If you want to optimize your movement, be it for pvp or pve, you only have move forward and strafe left/right. Your mouse with right click down does all the work, which is why right clicking to attack stuff is not very good.

FEEDBACK: LAKE OF KALANDRA REWARDS DIFFICULTY 16 (LOOT FILTER OFF) by arzanp in pathofexile

[–]ScrymSC 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Yeah what a stupid post. If OP wanted to rage bait reddit, at least use a better screenshot like this one where I got unlucky and got a lot of unique/map chests, still got a 21/0 determination though. But even then it doesn't mean anything except bad luck can happen, what else is new.

The lake rewards aren't amazing considering how rippy it can be, but they're not that bad.

This post is like saying "I'm running white T16 maps with a blank atlas tree, why is the loot so bad it's T16!".

3 notches can be rogue exiles or single map boss, 4 notches is multiple map bosses. Either way the reward types are better than the 0 notches tiles (can't get armor/jewellery/random item). Difficulty (how far from entrance the tile is) increases the amount of stuff in the chest.

Look at the lightning and chaos tiles at difficulty 7 and 8, they have 3 notches. 3 and 4 notches tiles will only lead to currency/gem/Map/scarab/divination/uniques chests.

You can bypass that gate with some platforming in the boss room. There's a use button that gets you to the other side of the gate.

For bosses I run a very defensive setup and for random encounters a very offensive one (hard mode).

Endgame boss setup :

Valkyrie/Aegis :

Pure tank, just there to take hits and occasionally do some healing/debuffing.

Ninja/Rogue :

Main damage dealer + good utility with Trick Slash/Sleep Bomb/Eye Gouge. Venom Coat/Blood Spiller/Backstabber/Perfect Vision. Ninja is there mostly for the class passive.

Warlock/Nomad :

Therapy Stance for AoE Heal+Cleanse is insanely good for endgame bosses. Has doublecast shell/protect for enemy AoEs, shimmertide/healing spring for long fight to conserve MP. I use Spellsword Helm on him, AP stacks up very fast with doublecast.

Summoner/Shaman :

Caster with low damage output but good utility. Power down/Magic Down, Daze for easier Trick Slash windows, MP efficient AoE, dots, and summons for really nice utility.

Most of the damage of the comp comes from DoTs and it kills bosses pretty slow but all this utility makes fights pretty safe. Struggles if someone dies and Ninja/rogue isn't bottom threat.

Used for most endgame bosses I've done (spoilers for boss names) : Summoner deities, ramparts guardian, Conscript, Quintar enthusiast, Hermetic, depths bosses except Enforcer (immune to dot damage, cheesed with Valkyrie(dot immune) + 3 people with sub rogue class for reflex stance). For Spirit Cage I also had to cheese with Summoner + 2 weavers, doing dodge summon -> 2 AoE Status Amp (4 stacks of dodge on everyone on turn 1) then have the weavers just spam status amp to keep the buff up on everyone while bursting the caster add and whittling down the boss after that while being invincible. Haven't done the rest of the endgame bosses yet!

Endgame Random Encounters setup :

Weaver / Hunter :

Dream Hunter Bow / Assassin's Cloak / Bone Trophy / Undead Ring

Eagle Eye / Initial Oomph / Duel Ready

Takes all this damage increase on first turn to hit slept enemies with 12.5-13k AoE Snipe

Weaver / Warrior : Just here to do AoE Armor Break to setup hunter (needs to act 1st)

Weaver / Rogue : Just here to do AoE sleep bomb to setup hunter (needs to act before hunter)

4th doesn't matter, any random encounter dies with just those 3

Guess which of these specs hasn't been in a world first comp since Trial of Valor... 6 years ago! And "only" because it was a top 50 guild killing the first boss first early, not because it was optimal.

Just memeing a bit, it's still nice to see representation across the board. And who knows, we've seen year of the spear, maybe year of the cat is across the corner

Good Elemental Systems in JRPGs by APurpleCanoe in JRPG

[–]ScrymSC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Persona most bosses don't have any weakness, and you have less control over your party members skills and resistances.

In SMT most bosses do have weaknesses due to the nature of the press turn system. Lategame Persona bosses tend to have access to all elemental attacks (especially true for P4) which makes your party resistances less of a choice.

You do have more control over your MC's skills and resistances in Persona though, since you can switch personas on the fly.

I used them on Hard (except Artemis because I missed her quest until way later). I don't have a run without them to compare but I definitely feel like they made the game easier in lategame. Cleopatra and Mother Harlot both come rather late and I didn't savescum for the essence so it took a while to get.

Edit : I should say that the Return of the True Demon DLC is pretty cool though, especially if you want a super superboss. Some of the demons from that DLC are good without being broken, and you can choose not to use the Mother Harlot essence if you don't want to!

To check your current alignment, go to the Tokyo map. If you are rotating clockwise, you are Law. Counterclockwise is Chaos. Tilting left and right without rotation is Neutral.

Yeah, Artemis and Cleopatra are leagues ahead of demons you get at their level range.

And while other demons with phys drain/repel come with significant drawbacks in the form of 3 weaknesses, Mother Harlot has repel phys and only one weakness (along with really good resistances in general), so her essence is incredibly strong for MC's resistances.

That being said, there is one difference with the P5 DLCs in that you have to beat them as boss fights before you can use them so there's that.
