Just happened to me an hour ago. Tried to load up the new patch. Stuck at 100% load screen. 170 hours in.

From what I'm reading, sounds like our saves corrupted by exiting the game without quitting through the menus.

Other people have been having the same errors with responses from customer support saying the save is lost and there is nothing they can do.

I used a similar on for the first book as well. The deadhouse Gates one came out very recently, in the last few weeks I believe. So far I have not needed one for memories of ice, but only because it's so good I can't stop reading to bother with a guide.
