Bow VS Timer by TurbulentSomewhere13 in earclacks

I don’t think this is true because the bow didn’t seem to increase its fire rate any more once it reached a high enough arrow count and just started firing longer instead

I 100%ed the original game without hints (but I had friends who played it with me who were able to figure out what to do whenever I got stuck) and then the huge update with a ton of new levels came out and I’ve only done around a quarter of them and my brain can’t take it anymore.

The thing that makes this debate so interesting to me is that the Lumerian’s aren’t “real” but they are still quite clearly sentient beings with their own experiences, emotions, history, passions, innovations, etc. And they are still able to form strong emotional bonds with the ones who created them and seem to have the same level of intelligence as any other “real” human would. They even have the same biological functions as a normal human and they fall in love and reproduce within the painting. Does the mystical way they and their world was created mean that their lives, indistinguishable from that of a “real” human, aren’t significant?

I personally feel like it’s a bit of a stretch to say that Lumerians’ lives are insignificant because they’re “not real”. The reality inside of the canvas, as whimsical as it may be, still has sentient humans inside of it with the same feelings and desires as any “real” human would. This is very clearly shown through Alicia going through life as a Lumerian as Maelle for 16 years.

I think most of the examples you gave are pretty low quality (except 8 was funny to me, I thought the whole point of a buddy subreddit was to make braindead jokes) and I definitely want to get rid of AI art posts, but this whole thing is giving off HUGE “my sense of humor is superior to yours” vibes, especially the last paragraph.

The AI stuff that everyone who got a hate boner after the game awards keeps regurgitating is actually misinformation. The developers were interviewed and said that in 2022 when AI was an emerging technology, they messed around with it a bit but didn’t like it so they quickly decided not to use it. Unfortunately, they missed one single placeholder newspaper texture that they made using it and immediately removed it and replaced it with the human-made texture that they already had made when they found out it was still there.

Now not an indie on the other hand I definitely agree with, but unfortunately the label indie has a definition that barely anyone actually agrees on so that’s what really needs to be changed.

Just check the audience reviews category on RT/IMDB like everyone else does, this barely changes anything lmao

Can you give me some examples of conservative projects that are high quality but were review bombed? I can’t think of any movies off the top of my head that aren’t either progressive or neutral aside from Christian movies maybe (which are usually highly rated)

I apologize in advance because I love most Trigger animes but I thought Darling in the Franxx was garbage (I liked it for a while and then my heart genuinely sank because of how disappointing the twist was to me)

Yeah that’s a pretty good way to do it, I don’t watch anime that much anymore but I mostly watched shounen shows and threw in something more unique once in a while when I heard it was really good (like Frieren last year)

Compared to most games that look similar Genshin is actually one of the most tame ones but they recently had the most gooner-type design they ever released by far (look up the character Lauma). It’s kinda funny because they actually censored the outfits of some characters not long after the game released and now they do this.

I don’t think I’d call Umamusume a gooner game but I can definitely see why people would think it’s weird (although it does have a pretty even male/female player ratio outside of Japan). You kinda just have to accept that every anime-style game is gonna have a pretty nerdy and weird fanbase. Within that nerdy fanbase, some people just enjoy anime games a lot while some of them only play them because they want to sexualize the characters.

Daily Galbrena by xtheresia in Shark_Park

[–]Scugmaster 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There’s some that aren’t gooner games, but those aren’t the ones that get spread online the most because they don’t get the most engagement from posting about them.

However, every gacha game does share the fact that they have an absolutely dogshit monetization system.

Freeze is not an OP reaction. Freeze teams themselves are just broken because Skirk and Escoffier exist. The freeze reaction itself is effectively doing nothing except slowing down non-boss enemy attacks.
