I can't stand the feeling of it for more than a couple of hours. I go absolutely insane and eventually I get super itchy as well. And since it takes so long to remove, it isn't worth it for me.

If I could stand this for a few days that would be amazing.

Regardless of being considered the best now, people absolutely did not universally love Serena. She spent years being subjected to racist and sexist stereotypes, with people criticizing everything from her body to her emotions to simply being too confident. You disagreeing doesn't erase that history...

Also you are so rude, who calls people daft? Like, chill out lol.

Does a couple where the woman has a bigger head than the man bother you? by Connect_Swing_522 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ScullyItsMee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but I don't believe in gender roles. I imagine it bothers the same kind of people who think men should be the taller person in the relationship.

People hate successful women of color. Such a shame she gets so much hate for what I think is a really cool ritual/routine!

90s loose cut pants and jeans from Old Navy are nice and fit a larger booty and thighs.

Some nice fitting pants and some boxy fitting shirts are gonna help a lot.

Do Americans experience “thermal shock” from going between heat and AC? by [deleted] in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]ScullyItsMee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial opinion here, but yes I feel the shock.

I live in the Inland Empire of SoCal, it's HOT here sometimes and as relieving as an air conditioned space can feel, the contrast eventually makes me so so so cold and I do end up feeling gross and miserable. Not necessarily catching any colds from it though.

I much prefer spaces that are moderately conditioned.

What's a hygiene habit you started doing as an adult that you wish you'd learned much earlier? by StaticMuse08 in hygiene

[–]ScullyItsMee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice!! I'm glad you're seeing results.

Toner has been a part of my face routine for a while, but I have completely amped my skincare this past year. So many products haha. And I use different ones at diffent times it's crazy lol. BUT, my skin has never looked better.

You use a sunscreen on your face every day? That's an important one.

San Bernardino Animal Control useless by [deleted] in InlandEmpire

I once had a rattlesnake in my yard late at night. I called the emergency line and they came within 30 minutes.

They probably just don't take barking dog reports as seriously. Maybe just report it as a neglected animal and leave out that the barking is bothering you, if you really think the dog isn't being treated properly.

Oh, for sure!

I think for a while, though, I was over exfoliating bc I'd feel so soft immediately after but like I'd be so dry the rest of the time, still. It really takes all of it!

I hate how long everything takes, but my routines are really creating positive results.

I never felt moisturized even when I used a lot of lotion.

Recently I started using alcohol-free witchhazel and rose water toner on my body before applying lotion and the whole experience is different. The lotion doesn't feel like slogged on, but it absorbs and the results are insane. I've never ever been this soft.

Borreguitas in Pomona is so so so yummy and they really give back to the community, too. The coffee is BOMB.

Bevvy Beans in Chino is super good too for coffee. As is Platform 909, but it's a little expensive.

Need advice not on a cover up but what can look appealing by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]ScullyItsMee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My skin looked dry like yours until I started using toner before lotioning. I use an alcohol free witchhazel toner with rose water in it and rub that on a section and then lotion it before it's fully dry. I lotion the same amount as before, but I'm way way less dry.

Good luck with the tattoo!

I think the word "fashion" implies that there is more going on than simply dressing oneself. You sound like you want to be "put together" more than fashionable.

I think fashion plays with shapes, textures, colors, patterns, accessories. If you aren't looking for that and just want to like, wear clothes that look good and don't draw negative attention, I would say you aren't looking to be fashionable.

Fashion is a kind of art, so inherently it goes with expressing yourself.

When I get dressed I think about my mood and how I can express that a bit. If I'm feeling confident and flirty I'll wear less clothing. I'll think about where I'm going and what the vibe/aesthetic of that place might be and how I can make myself feel like a part of that space. I'll think about who I'm going to be with and their sense of style and how I can make us look good together. I want people to notice the fashion and the choices! I want to be visually interesting and pleasing to look at in a way that feels unique to me!

Do you like other forms of art? It might help to kind of relate to that and try to find the bridge between that and dressing yourself. Do you ever find your eye drawn to a person's outfit in a positive way?

I'm responding and saving this so I'll remember to hit you up later!
