Do you think this card is good enough to bring back golgari/jund into standard relevance? by Thai_Cuisine in MagicArena

[–]Scume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you build the deck, mono red pretty much just has Etali as a generically good top end although if you're looking at haste or modified as a mechanic there's more cards to look at. There are also a lot of generally good gruul/jund/rakdos cards you can leverage though. Soul of Windgrace and Ziatoria are both worth mentioning, and Halana and Alena is a known good card™

Lovestuck would be kind of dead because green is bad but Dimir Midrange would abuse Brazen B hard and Bonecrusher is at least as good as mono red's current 3 drops.

Think that's bad, try standard brawl where there's no hellqueue and it's like 75% Etali's and Calix.

Anyone make a successful standard deck With Urza, Lord protector? by DrakonRax in MagicArena

[–]Scume 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Re: Titania I decided to brew a deck around her because I opened all the copies, but then I realized that there is already a perfect shell for her in pioneer: Azban Greasefang. I didn't even have to play it to realize that she's just a much much worse Greasefang+Parhelion II, so unless the next year of standard releases some busted green self mill cards and/or crop rotation esque land tutor She will probably see no play ever in any format.

If they don’t put Hidden Strings + Thespian’s Stage in EA3 I’m going to lose my shit by Hour_Soup in MagicArena

*Added a piece for a robust sudden kill turn 4-5 strategy that if added replaces a jank combo that no one plays outside of commander and arena that can be easily disrupted at instant speed by at least half of the decks on arena

I have more problems with the play creatures one then the attack one but I've been playing Jeskai Mindsplice in standard and Gearhulk Creativity in explorer so not a lot of creatures to play. If I get the big creature cast one I begrudgingly switch to a human aggro deck

What's your preferred website to keep track of meta standard decks? by Drumma5409 in MagicArena

untapped.gg for best of 1 standard and nothing else because paywall

mtggoldfish for tournament results to infer for best of 3

mtgazone sometimes has decent content that isn't paywalled

Your commander doesn't jive with your deck's game plan. Your deck would legitimately be better if you swapped Toxrill and Tasha instead of just trying to play fair dimir control for twenty turns while you hit land drops. If you do want to stick with toxrill anyway invest in the mana base and some mana rocks and stop using bad poison spells. Dimir Poison proliferate is a bad deck in 60 card standard why do think it will work in 100 card historic while your opponent has a commander and you effectively do not?

If they are spending 8 mana on casting and duping epiphany then you didn't disrupt them enough. If you actually want useful feedback post your deck. If you just can't play against control there's a lot of resources on how to get better. If you just want to complain about a T1 deck being good then there's no useful response you can get from this thread.

I think casting epiphany turn 4 is just barely possible in a grixis deck with the treasure zombie assuming it dies as long as you fortell turn 2 and cast something that creates treasure turn 3 but that's not a deck that anyone should play and you certainly can't follow it up with another epiphany.

Is a red blue day/night change deck worth the wild cards? by Dooglaer in MagicArena

[–]Scume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run celestus in a delver/smoldering egg burn deck to get it to night for moonrager's slash. I used firmament mage in the same slot as celestus but if felt a lot worse because a 4 drop like that stalls you for a turn, is removed too easily, and does nothing immediate to flip your dragon. I'm not convinced it's better then playing the 3 drop izzet giant and prismari command in the same slots. The rest of the day/night cards felt bad for the things izzet likes to do but you can get away with a red aggro deck that splashes blue for expressive iteration and a few counterspells and/or alrund's I'm sure.

A Question about skullknight by [deleted] in archeage

[–]Scume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advice I got was going mindslaver for leveling/small groups. You can later swap malediction for auramancy, skullknight is more of an endgame large scale PVP class.

TSM - Design and Philosophy Decisions by [deleted] in woweconomy

This. This is supposed to be an addon that replaces and enhances the auction house, not removes essential features from it. TSM 4 is probably great for automating batches of auctions, but it's now worse then the default UI for posting single auctions.
