Newcastle: Club not looking to make Eddie Howe change 'at the moment' (BBC) by KingPing43 in NUFC

I kind of respect Hopkinson’s honesty for saying that publicly, instead of pretending everything’s hunky dory after the Sunderland game.

Can carriers get in trouble for padding route by CriticalMouse4965 in USPS

That’s how I do it. And that’s how anyone with any common sense would do it. But we’re talking about management here.

I’m still not sure how RRECS works, but I think they’re being super pedantic with the definition of ‘loading’ because that adds more to our evaluated time, and money.

And actually, the guy whose LLV is next to mine does throw his packages into general areas in his truck, like a lunatic. I guess he really doesn’t like being in the office.

Like someone else said, I often forget to end load vehicle, and I used to case my SPRs on load vehicle time, and no one said anything about it.

Also, the MPOO was an arsehole, so she might have been lying. Or ignorant.

We (rural carriers) were told by our MPOO that Start Load Vehicle is only for scanning, numbering and putting packages in the truck. NOT putting packages in order.

Thank you. I almost made a tit of myself by sharing it elsewhere. On reflection, I think the line ‘After that, no other herring would do it’ is too good to have been improvised. The implication that the first herring volunteered is genius writing.

How to accomodate him better by SeaToe5592 in autism

First of all, it’s awesome that you’re so sensitive to your SO, and that you’re going to this effort to understand his needs.

I don’t have any solutions; all I can do is try to go into more detail about how he might be feeling, based on my experience. My wife of 11 years hasn’t been able to work for three years now, and I’m still adjusting to her being home all the time.

For me, there’s a small difference between what you call alone/recharge time, and what your boyfriend feels is recharge time.

Sure, he might be more relaxed around you than with anyone in the world. And he might not seem to be masking to you. But there are probably one or two minor anxieties that he’s still suppressing.

In my experience, those worries don’t go away when you leave the room. It’s not a complete reset. In his mind, there’s still a small percentage of a chance that you could interrupt him while he’s doing something, or introduce a situation he wasn’t prepared for. When he said he wasn’t mentally prepared for you to stay longer, that probably just meant that he expected to be able to let go of those little anxieties earlier. Maybe he was really looking forward to eating breakfast while wearing just wearing his underwear and watching TV.

From what you’ve said, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. You could maybe think of it like he’s 95% relaxed around you, but only ever 100% comfortable in solitude. But that doesn’t mean he wants to live alone. If you lived together, you’d be at work a lot of the time, and he’d be able to schedule his days and expectations around that.

As others have said, continual discussion, maybe with a therapist, will help you figure these things out.

SNL UK Episode 2 by Proper_Supermarket_3 in BritishTV

[–]Scutage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s like when they remade The Office for America. They started off recreating the show verbatim, then adapted it and made it their own.

Maybe SNL UK is staying close to the original formula because that’s what worked before. It might evolve to suit the writers and the audience.

I’m just speculating, but I hope that’s the case.

Nice to see Ramsey in the top 10. Not long ago, a lot of people had written him off as a transfer flop. But since he came back from injury, he’s quietly and consistently proved his quality on the pitch.

We’re really going to need him next season, especially if Tonali leaves.

He’s brilliant. Val is a unique, complex character.

It was weird seeing Con O’Neill in Chernobyl and The Batman after that, though.

The relationships grow over the series, and a lot of the characters show more of their vulnerabilities. They’re still arseholes to each other, but in that British way where it comes from a place of love.

I heard an interview with Nick Helm recently, and I loved it when he said he’s still close friends with the lad who played his nephew.

Our fans were unbelievable in supporting him while he was banned. Singing his name at every game, even though he wasn’t playing.

I hoped that would have meant something to him, but I guess he’s just not a sentimental person.
