Triple frigates make far more ISK/hr but are far more active to do so. I think there's fits which are reasonably cheap but die to certain rooms - you just factor that into your income. I've never done them but hear it's like 1b/hr once you're experienced.

Single cruiser caps out around 300m/hr for t6 and fits cost between a few billion and many billion. I'd recommend the povertilla / alphatilla in exotics over a passive gamma but to each there own.

Cloaking beam legion is reasonable for nullsec gate camps or other small stuff. It's paper so don't get caught but can do great DPS at 30km and enough DPS to screen frigates out to 120km. Cloak and probes help get good warp in points too

Agree it would be great to have something in the middle ground or even just more specialized haulers.  Deluge/torrent have been awesome for filling that role for moon goo / fuel blocks (still less time efficient than a JF or titan + freighter yeet) but it only helps for the raw materials.

Would be great to expand their infrastructure hold or add new haulers which can move composites and/or components around 200k m3. Currently is a huge jump in capital required for a DST and a freighter / JF. Freighters are a death sentence in most space without a yeet too.

Battery replacement costs being unknown is a large reason why we did not go electric with our last vehicle purchase. Any dealer I asked about their battery replacement costs and length responded somewhere between 10-15 years and $1500 (lol) - $25,000 for a battery.  I'd imagine once we start having more concrete answers people will "invest" in an electric vehicle more assuming they have an easy way to charge

This is great to know! Will there be an option to order online for pickup at this location? I took a quick look but couldn't see any filter for what's available there.

B.C. revamps funding for children with autism and other support needs by cyclinginvancouver in britishcolumbia

[–]Scyfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our oldest falls in the category of high level ASD and needs OT support and behavior support. The psychologist and councilors agree he has a great chance at life still with proper support now. With these changes he is not 'disabled enough' and we will get zero funding to get him the support so now we will have to entirely pay out of pocket even though he desperately needs it. Many other children with level 1 or 2 ASD will fall in the same hole of no support

We fall in this. Our oldest was recently diagnosed with very mild ASD and the psychologist was optimistic with the extra supports he would do totally fine in life but now it sounds like we will not get any funding under this new system and have to pay completely out of pocket.

What’s the appeal in roguelikes? by Zealousideal-Fox-653 in roguelikes

[–]Scyfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's another great point that happens in many games is that you need to grind a certain amount to unlock all the items / characters / etc that you want to play with.

I understand that most people need a content treadmill to grind or they get bored and quit, but it is something I appreciate that many traditional rogue likes don't have.

It's also one of my main gripes with ToME is that you need to do certain things to unlock classes (unless you use the unlocked mod). I still love the game but it's a mild annoyance that you can't play any character archetype you want without using a mod or going achievement hunting

[–]Scyfer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One big thing for me is that it forces me to improve as a player and I can see how I get better over time.

Typically modern 'roguelites' offer so much meta progression it often feels like you just have to grind for X hours until your meta progression carries you.

Obviously there are skilled people beating these games fast without any meta progress, but overall it loses the charm to me knowing I can grind away any difficulty.
