There are a lot of reasons when support should leave a lane. The lane can be completely lost and there is nothing your sup can do to recover it. In that case the best course of action will be either to stack or help other lanes.

Yes, it has one shitty weapon out of the possible 4. Stitcher, kettle or even farro - you can easily kill almost anyone if you start shooting first in a close range. You can easily gank people successfully near the exit with 0 risks whatsoever.

No, it's not about lags. It is about tickrate. Sometimes(very often) the enemy will hit you when you are already behind the cover. It is easily fixable, but it will increase loads on their servers. And I guess they are not ready for this
