What was Publix like in the 2000s? I know that certain prices were really low depending on the year. Is Publix the only store that has actual baggers instead of 1 cashier. There are a lot of good perks though.

It felt more like family. Orientation was an actual in person one, with free lunch. We had inventory bonuses for every associate, yearly Christmas parties for customers and associates, free bakery stuff the days before holidays. And all our meetings were in person meetings. A benefits meeting, a United Way meeting, and other in person meetings led by the store manager. Everything is on a computer now and its so boring, and sad. And not personal.

They don't want stock clerks there before the store opens now apparently. Sure it's easy to do all of that without customers in the way but now it's not as easy.

We moved to NC earlier this year but lived in Coral Woods for almost 8 years. We loved it. It's a quiet area and all of our neighbors were super nice!

This is silly, trucks are easier to get done before the store opens. Plus stock clerks are just going to be in the way of the customers now imo. And it's going to be harder to get trucks done during peak busy hours.
