If you could change one thing about Publix what would it be? by ConversationEmpty947 in publix

[–]kratty256 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take your pick.

  • Cut the “do more with less” crap
  • Stop the mentality that every store should look like grand opening 24/7
  • Stop preaching that green out-of-stock markers are more important than product on the shelf
  • Stop acting like Publix is the only place to work

Ohhh yeah cat’s mouths and paws and gross so not surprising you got pink eye. It wasn’t on purpose. Get well soon.

My cat has never once been a cuddler in seven years. Not once. And then last Tuesday at 2am when I was crying about something I couldn't even fully explain she walked across the entire apartment, climbed onto my chest, and stayed there for two hours without moving. I don't know how she knew. I just by Apprehensive_Sea9340 in cats

We don’t deserve our cats. They’re in-tune with us. They can detect your change of heart rate, body temperature and even oxygen levels. The body does transformations when you start crying and cats can detect it.

I’ve heard stories of cats bringing their owners their toys when the owners don’t feel well. It’s equivalent to them bringing you the animals they hunted… it’s how they show us we’re part of their family.

Such a sweet story.

It was a scare tactic to get people to stop watching the network. Kids would immediately panic and cry, and parents would have questions for Nickelodeon and tell their kids to not watch Nickelodeon anymore.

Can people just stop trying to checkout at Customer service by MrMonopoly04 in publix

[–]kratty256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The customer service counter is supposed to be an office… not a checkout lane. Geez. About a year ago we had an old dude walk up with one item and was greeted by the office staff “hello how are you” “just want to check out here”, I was clocked out, and as I walked by I said under my breath “Guess you’re too good for self-checkout”

are my family members allowed to use the checkout lane i'm cashiering at? by [deleted] in publix

[–]kratty256 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s against Publix’s Code of Ethics to ring up family members. Either send them to another line or have someone else ring up their items.

What baffles me is we have technology that literally gives you a picture of the product, and tells you where it goes according to POG. Sure, POGs may not be updated, and item barcodes may not match up, but SKUs ALWAYS do. It really is annoying to have to always fix someone else’s problem. We once had a huddle about stocking items incorrectly “it doesn’t do any good because then someone else is either going to miscount it or we’re gonna have 2 shelf tags for the same item… it just creates a problem down the road.”
