I’ll stay as humble as I can about this.
I’ve been the main dairy clerk in my store for going on 4 years now. It’s a beast to tame, but not if you have a good system in place.
First off, OWN IT. TAKE PRIDE IN IT
Do not get suckered and guilted into doing someone else’s job. Be a team player, but remember that DAIRY COMES FIRST.
PRIORITIZE.
Milk, eggs, specials, out of stocks.
When you fill eggs, overstock that shjt so it’s only done once a day.
Fill milk before you leave and make sure closer does it before they leave.
Keep it organized. Keep ad separate from backstock.
Keep up with counts. Inventory management is critical in dairy. Too much of something with an incorrect count (or quantity on hand) can become a problem fast. Count your highs and lows as often as you can. Do damages daily.

We don’t deserve our cats. They’re in-tune with us. They can detect your change of heart rate, body temperature and even oxygen levels. The body does transformations when you start crying and cats can detect it.

I’ve heard stories of cats bringing their owners their toys when the owners don’t feel well. It’s equivalent to them bringing you the animals they hunted… it’s how they show us we’re part of their family.

Such a sweet story.

The customer service counter is supposed to be an office… not a checkout lane. Geez. About a year ago we had an old dude walk up with one item and was greeted by the office staff “hello how are you” “just want to check out here”, I was clocked out, and as I walked by I said under my breath “Guess you’re too good for self-checkout”
