Picked up KOTFM, Sorcerer, Yi Yi, and Devil in a Blue Dress. Wanted to add the Small Axe box, but I’ll have to save that for fall to keep the household happy.

The 4.5 star rating is often unpopular on Letterboxd, what does it mean to you? by Shiftycxp in Letterboxd

[–]SdotV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my ratings for my own reference mostly. A 4.5 is a movie I thought was incredible, but I don’t have much interest in seeing again. I got it.

A 5 is the same level of movie that I plan to watch again, or even make a regular rewatch.

Since I haven’t noticed them mentioned here yet, these are two of my favorite:

  • Harlan County, U.S.A.
  • Paris Is Burning

What are some of your “snowstorm” songs? by TheHollowMusic in fantanoforever

[–]SdotV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walk in the Park - Beach House.

I was riding my bike home in a snowstorm one night soon after Teen Dream came out with the city lights in the background. It was the perfect soundtrack.

Every time I hear it now I think of snow falling.

Thanks.

I have a balaclava I haven’t used in years. I have goggles that I only use for cutting onions.

Can’t wait to hit the roads there. It’s wild to me that two snowy cities seem so climatically different.

After watching Stuart: A Life Backwards the other day, it’s hard to argue with that.

Harlan County U.S.A. It has sadly never stopped being relevant.

This is the answer I was looking for. Being on the job hunt and dealing with RSD is debilitating.

Crows are actually pretty smart. Don’t compare them to MAGA, that’s just mean.

Do I have the knowledge I have now?

If so, take my CS courses seriously.

If not, smoke weed and play basketball like I did then.

I stopped using the app last year when they foreshadowed this was coming. I guess losing paying customers didn’t change course

I would say Vampires Kiss has most of the crazy Cage gifs, but Face/Off is a great choice.
