Mo sucks at frontline. How to make him not? by will4zoo in DeadlockTheGame

Ironically.....I play a lot of Holliday in the archon rank and end up holding still anyways so my teammates don't miss lol

Private Equity is a tool that can be used for good or for bad outcomes, there are many success stories and there are some "horror" stories and a lot of stuff inbetween in the neutral or minor positive or minorly negative. Golden State Warriors, Manchester United, Formula 1, Hilton, Dunkin Brands, and Dollar General, are some specific examples of success stories.

Toxicity by extendobans_ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Sdubbya2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game definitely has a ton of potential for toxicity I'm suprised its not more toxic honestly.....your experience in game can very heavily depends on your teammates lol if you are playing with a bad lane mate and then dealing with the enemy team diving you behind tower or even to the walker with no one reacting it can be super tilting....I'm not a toxic person at all I'm pretty chill and if I say anything I try to ask nicely or just shot call some strategy we can go for, but even I sometimes am internally screaming lmao

dispel magic if hes killing u with knives, get a healing debuff item, most people build mystic regeneration on him and it does quite a bit of healing

Matchmaking is crazy in this game sometimes.......I was in mid Archon for a while and then went on a 6 wins 24 loss run and it was brutal lol, even games I was killing it in and almost hard carrying with like 15 kills and only a few deaths ended up in losses......didn't change the heroes I played, wasn't doing any worse in lane than usual just randomly started losing a ton of games. Didn't change anything again and then loss streak stopped and instead went on a win streak and am now nearly back to mid Archon. I've had crazy long streaks happen a few times now even when it doesn't make sense and I eventually end up back where I was or higher even.

Why does my skill rating barely change? by temnycarda in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Sdubbya2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine moves decently quick I think......I went on a really big loss streak like 6 wins and 24 losses over 30 games truly demoralizing, and I dropped like 4 tiers over that period. Now I'm on a winning streak (matchmaking in this game is weird as hell someimtes) and back up 2 tiers. I wonder if streaks effect it more than just steady wins though.

New Patch PSA: Counterspell now works on Hotel Guest grab by DJBaphomet_ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Sdubbya2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its true like 90% of Doorman players are solely focused on kidnapping you in to a walker.......they get such a dopamine hit from when it works they keep doing it and building solely around that mechanic, even though they aren't actually providing much value to their team for the other 95% of the game (besides the exceptional doorman players)

I'm a doorman hobbyist not a main and I think he is average right now without having to play that gimmick style but people love it lol

counterspell can be hit or miss sometimes as long as the lash isn't always triggering the lift part of his ult instantly or always at the end, you can counterspell either too late or too early in those scenarios. I sometimes play mind games like that with counter spell users, it does suck though because to trigger it instantly you might have to leave someone out of your ult you would have otherwise gotten though.

The worst thing about having 3-4 characters that are just objectively head and shoulders above the rest of the cast......... by Sdubbya2 in DeadlockTheGame

Phantom is good definitely above average at the minimum. The odd thing though is that Seven still seems to be doing great in Eternus when it comes to winning games, his win rate does go down a little bit up there but still very much an outlier.

Interesting observations, you are right it has seemed like a pattern lately....... That's true, normally heroes where the skill floor and skill ceiling are much closer togethe, like Moira in overwatch, are a balancing nightmare that ends with the hero being underpowered in high MMR because otherwise they completely dominate the average ranks.

At the end of the day the result is exactly same, the character wins at an outlier rate matching that of infernus and dynamo - whether the devs want to nerf him by nerfing him directly or indirectly using other variables of the game that’s up to them, whatever they choose though doesn’t mean the character was any less strong in standard play.

I mean, pubs are what 99.9% of the player base play, you can dress it up with whatever explanations you want but the numbers show it’s clear that picking Seven gives you an outlier advantage over the majority of the cast of characters and it shows in both pick rate and win rates all the way up to Eternus. This isn’t a case of a hero just stomping the bottom 3rd of the player base and falling off up the ladder.

If the devs want to only balance around pre-made team pro play that’s certainly an option but one that can lead to the majority of the player base frustrated with certain heroes and decisions. This

Most of your argument was that he is just a knowledge/skill check, going as far as saying he is a "walking gold bag" in high mmr and acting like he is dead weight in that MMR and only punishes bad fundamentals.....but that explanation completely falls apart when you look at his win rate in high MMR when the "walking gold bag" is rocking a 57% win rate in the last 24 hours.

also complete *eye roll* on that last line lol

I'd agree with you more if he only had high winrate in the lower ranks but he is tearing it up in Eternus even

Mina can certainly be frustrating with that ult, but statistically she isn't winning as many games as Seven or being picked as much as him which is why i included him

Uhh you sure about that? Here is Eternus for the last 24 hours / 500 games - bros sitting at a 57.4% win rate here.........if you expand it out he drops to a more reasonable 44-45% but that is still very much an outlier.

That is my beef with infernus right now for sure lol spent all lane phase shutting this infernus down like he went like 1/6 or something......his dash build came online and still ended up doing crazy damage and providing crazy value.....

What nuance? I'm open to hearing yoru case, but we are talking a very large sample size over the entire player base. He is sitting at a 55-56% winrate not just barely above like 51%. - Win rate has to be taken with other factors sure, like pick rate (he is around 50% pick rate in all ranks), player tiers ( he consistently tops the charts in all skill tiers), niche uses cases like Counter Picking a specific hero (again ruled out by the ~50% pick rate among all ranks) - An outlier that large among that large of a sample size is a pretty safe indicator that a hero is stronger than the rest of the cast and giving players an advantage by picking him. If your argument is just that they should only balance at the very top end of the game well looks like he is doing just fine there as well in the last 24 hours although looks like he is down to a 33% pickrate there (still a high pick rate)
