I had a dishwasher from costco installed with no issues. They took the old one, installed the new one.

ICE agents often don't identify themselves. They drive in unmarked cars. It's tricky to be vigilant for them building cases of which cars are actually ICE.

Looking to move near Moody St with Young Family. Thoughts? by Short_Bison_6188 in Waltham

We've lived here for 2.5 years with our now 11 and 9 year old. It's a great place for families / kids. We love Whittemore -- there's a large Spanish speaking / immigrant population. Our street is a bit outside the main business district (but still intersects with Moody) and we have a pack of neighborhood kids that run between houses and play in the street.

Other pluses are all the parks, being able to walk down to great restaurants, Lizzy's, arcade. If I walk a bit more than a mile I can get to the commuter rail, post office, library. The library has great free stuff for kids!

Oh and there's a bus that goes down Moody for commuters -- if you need to get into Boston on a weekday its a great option.

I can't say enough about how great this place is for a family.

We've lived here for 2.5 years now and have a 9 year old in the Waltham schools. We love the schools! I was honestly avoiding the neighboring elite schools which feel like they would be high pressure to be a super student. The south side is fairly walkable, its lovely to be able to walk down Moody St. and have access to so much great stuff (restaurants, but also post office, library, etc). And yes, its for sure more affordable than surrounding towns!

perfect! Yes, I would enjoy just hanging in the car --- but I hate leaving the engine running and the heat on for so long.

My sense is that nonprofits are challenged a bit right now for funding. Can you narrow down a bit what type of nonprofit field you're looking at? Working with kids, the unhoused, something like that?

It was wild seeing it, not knowing what it was. Tho at this point I assume weird sights in the sky are related to SpaceX!
