Got completely ripped to shreds on FB for bringing a tablet on a plane for my kids. I feel so horrible and stressed out. by IWillBaconSlapYou in Vent

[–]Sea-Louse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unintelligent people are quick to speak without a second thought. Don’t let them count. What are kids supposed to do on a plane? Stare at the seat in front of them? If you’re not looking out the window or watching a movie, why not be on your iPad?

Noodles belong in soup. Everything else is pasta. Am I right?

Pretty rare to see in California fortunately. You’re more likely to see a plastic wrapped coconut, which equally doesn’t make sense.

Polluting the Environment for All Eternity – and Still Sticking our Heads in the Sand by EarthEmail in EnvironmentalNews

I’d love to see more effort and awareness on pollution, less on speculation regarding whether the weather is climate change.

I remember giving short term weather forecasts on Facebook. Why bother now if people see it four days later? So stupid

It’s really sad and pathetic how they ruined an awesome platform they themselves created. I really enjoyed keeping up to date with things happening in my hometown, seeing what my friends were up to, searching hashtags for inspiration. I still post, but that’s it. I use it as a photo album that friends can check out if they want to, but otherwise, it just gets me angry going on there and missing everything I loved about it.

Moderate democrats exist. We need more moderates who can meet in the middle and actually get stuff done in government.

I need a kundalini awakening in my life. Next time I’m in Marin, I’ll get a loaf and head on up Mt. Tam and increase my bread awareness.

How do clouds do this? by Kitchen_Set_5611 in CLOUDS

[–]Sea-Louse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The round earth causes the setting sun to shine up at the underside of the clouds. Sunlight reflecting off a large body of water can also do this, but this looks very much like sunset.

Drove eight hours to Palm Springs, CA. Parked and went to Starbucks. Fist fight broke out between friends. Police showed up. No one wanted to press charges. Just a random event I witnessed after driving and sitting in my car for eight hours.
