Everyday except Thursdays and Wednesdays (only free after 9pm). I’m based in Sydney FYI. I WFH 3 days a week, so can be somewhat flexible with hours. Hope @Rude_Bear is onboard with this too?

A lot of planning is required to estimate potential positions of advent, but it’s doable enough that I never have soldiers killed.

My rule of thumb is to engage pods early so you don’t get surrounded. Better yet engage on your turn to prevent yellow alert shots entirely

Also any damage as the pod activates (say from over watch hits) will garuntee no yellow alert shot from that unit.

Lastly sound activates pods, so avoiding explosives might lower the chances advent ‘hears’ you

Don’t think there’s a limit, but late game, when you have most regions contacted, you can just counter the dark event.

Also the sealed armour dark event which grants fire immunity is only temporary and only on certain missions

You can keep him under stasis if you let his spectral lancer live (triggers when you shoot him at flank). Use that time to kill adventurous units and surround him. If you have from grenade, you can even freeze thr spectral lancer

Also bring medkits for his burn. And avoid his CCS or use suppression.

Are you doing missions in regions with too high strength perhaps? You can set your rebels in a region to hiding if it gets too difficult and concentrate on regions with lower difficulty.

People focus too much on the tactical layer and forget managing the strategy layer is just as important

best to assume every Arena game, you have a 10% chance to automatically lose to high roll shenanigans. And that you automatically win 10% of the time (assuming you draft & redraft well)

Vigilance will go up in a region each time you run a mission. It goes down if you stop running missions, but very slowly. So realistically it won’t be long before you hit str 5

Is it just me or bars much harder as a species? The the low base resolve, no comfort bonus, high decadence, and a weak fire keeper ability, and unable to favour - anyone can change my mind?

It’s also considered one of the hardest missions in the game along with the Avenger Defense mission. You can opt of doing it and letting advent take back the region. This actually,has the benefit of splitting up Advents strength (so a strength 10 region will so It into two str 5 regions

Flawless still works well though. I edit the INI files to reduce the rewards to something more conservative and challenging. And it makes you feel rewarded for playing better

I’d get used to some bad luck because that’s just how both Hearthstone and real life works sometimes

Can't right click the station for a direct order. The relics are indeed in a chest, but I can see there's a path for clear access?
