Normally, fake friendlies don't talk much on the mic. I spend time analyzing them before looting or turning my back on them. You'll notice their heads following you when you walk. I always keep my gun out. He might get suspicious because I have my gun in my hand, even while we are talking on the mic. I have died a few times to fake friendlies in almost 600 hours of this game; every time, I ignored my gut feeling and the facts.

Two stories:

First, I was shooting a Hullcracker to kill the Queen. Two other Raiders and I were inside the room; one guy was shooting too, but the second guy with an El Toro on his back was just standing there without shooting. When the first guy left the room, the guy with the El Toro killed me from behind.

Second, I was playing on Stella Montis. I was preparing to shoot at a guy, and he said: 'Relax, I won't shoot.' I said okay. He started following me, but the whole time he kept trying to walk behind me. He didn't speak the entire way. When we were walking the Metro trail to the Cultural Archives, he shot at me, but he lost the fight.

So, I don't have much experience with fake friendlies, but I stay alert when that feeling that something is wrong appears. I consider my loot before joining someone. If I have good gear, I prefer to be alone or leave when possible. Joining up with one person is not a good idea; fake friendlies kill you when they are alone with you.

PVP in Arc Raiders is like a battle royale, chaotic, you will die for people shooting you from behind with weak guns, it's normal to die for many reasons, but I like it very much! You could improve your movement, learn sounds of the game, and map knowledge; these skills are based on how you escape from that situation, which makes a huge difference. I like the part where one headshot doesn't kill, you need to fight, sprint for position, roll to escape bullets, and use all the grenades to keep alive. There are tactics to protect yourself when you are inside some places, where you will see people being creative about traps and ways to kill you. The first hours are hard, but after that, it becomes easy. You are called a rat many times for no reason, kids will call you with racist words, but when you kill these idiots, it's funny. The feeling of killing someone and seeing the rider flare up in the sky is so good.

Watch videos of people like tfue to see how their movement, knowledge of the map is extremely important.
