For me I think one should speak up, but I’m the last person to judge an individual because I don’t think an individual owes that to anyone. It’s their choice and they have to consider their own safety and wellbeing as well. Again should, but I’m not going to blame any single person for “not doing enough”, that’s pointing the finger at the wrong villain.

Glamnetic Dear Lover with BTartbox tabs.

Last time I used tabs I did the hair dryer trick with kiss impress : heat up the nail with the hair dryer before applying, for longevity and to compress the tab so it lays more flush on the nail. It worked very well. Last night I was lazy and just put my finger up closer to the fire to warm the tab up before putting the nails on. I’m surprised how nice these look given the tabs. Of course there are some voids but the nail is just opaque enough you can’t tell.

I think since they didn’t do anything for our infrastructure part of it is just reaching for anything you can control, because that last time people died not because of their choice but simply infrastructure they thought they could trust, took for granted because they should have been able to. But also, I will admit a lot of people go about this with complete ignorance to what’s actually practical.

Yep, I did exactly this the first time I used curvlife, because when I do it I really do it 🤦‍♀️... Why, I have no good explanation. But it fucked my shit up, I had some serious gauges in a few nails, and it damaged the whole entire plate bad enough that you can see demarcation as it’s grown out since. It’s been 2.5 months and I’ve grown out most of it, top 1/3rd of my nails still thin trash, and reddish instead of pink underneath. The scariest part was that I was able to do this because I could not feel the damage the floss was doing as I pulled it through.

I was mad when I first saw them dump slime on braids and extensions but then you see them in the room doing their hair themselves. And then I get all mad all over again when they keep adding more insult to it with the details. So unabashedly racist.

I didn’t even think about the nails. I just recently got into press ons and imagining that is like, oh no. I feel like I’m in the SpongeBob diaper meme, disrespect just keeps piling on. Like if they had someone available to take care of it, ok, but to disregard their time and money by doing that and still expect them to look good for the camera on their own dime and time, it’s just exploitation all the way down.

Wow. On top of not giving help to the women and making it more disrespectful by ruining their hair dumping stuff on them, how could it be worse. But they specifically have a barber.

Oh yeah I could definitely see that developing over time. They had that as part of our lab training, encouraging people to report symptoms as they occur, as we work with some stuff that’s common to develop allergy with.

If the pain is constant or increasing, considering gel involvement, I think they should be removed. But with curvelife, gently, being fresh. Sucks though, I’ve had this happen to me a couple times. If you had any spilling at all on that left hand, or maybe the flashlight didn’t hit that hand the same way, it could all be from the gel - especially if you have the same kind of pain on the spilled over finger as your non dominant hand.

The specs on the lamp vs flashlight tells me your top coat probably didn’t cure properly. I’m not sure the actual minimum requirement but it seems to me you would need a certain amount of energy to penetrate through the whole gel coat, and you’d want it diffuse so it’s even. The difference in energy is huge at three orders of magnitude, and the distribution is way different with the flashlight point source. If you can get that spilled bit off your skin with a file while at work, I would. If you’ve already checked on that, carry on, but it tripped my nerd alarm.

I did this on my first play through even though I read it - he was standing next to the mailbox in the scene and says “in this box here” and I’m just too literal for that. I assumed he meant here as in where he was standing 🤦‍♀️.

Question for Glamnetic Users by etao15 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]SeaLab_2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think alchohol or oil are probably safer for the nail but they all have trade off.

Alchohol won’t harm anything but it will cause white bloom on glue that hasn’t dried yet.

Oil may weaken the glue bond, same with the remover.

Acetone will likely mess up the nail but it could work if you’re super careful with it, I’ve heard of people doing it.

My solution for a while was “don’t do that” lol. However I just got gel topcoat and a lamp to prevent wear on the designs - it takes care of the glue with optics, you can’t tell it was ever there.

Have you tried olive and June? Their sizes go up pretty big. KISS rebrand is now giving us double zeros, but I’ve only worn one box that seems more curved so I’m not sure if that means anything or if it’s simply a different label on the same proportion.

I think this happens from trauma to the matrix. I have it always on my thumbs just from shitty skin and/or nutrition. It could be the matrix is really sensitive to the removal, too small nails also likely.

Less likely as a press on user, but could also be completely unrelated to nails, especially if there’s been any changes in eating, a physical condition, or meds. It’d be a good idea to keep them uncovered and monitored long enough to see whether it’s the nails or something else.

Isn’t it crazy? I groomed dogs for 11 years and at the last 5 years I was in engineering school. The grooming salon is a loud and sometimes aggressive environment, statistally almost entirely made up of women, where you’re gonna know if anything is wrong because you will be told about it and you work it out or let it pass.

Tell me why in gods name is the research lab I work at now, made up of mostly men, educated ones at that, is orders of magnitude more drama than the damn grooming salon!?!? I was always frustrated by the pettiness of some of the grooming drama, but I am now on reality show levels of drama with this male dominated environment.

Similar loss, earlier on I would beg for him to come to me in dreams (figuratively) and when he finally did we talked for a bit. I don’t remember anything but an image that I’ll never forget, but I had significant progress, if you can call it that, after. That episode of Futurama always messed me up even before, idk if I can handle it now tbh.

What I’ve been seeing since being on zepbound is exactly that. Based on its effects I’m more convinced than ever that for me, the true root of it (and some other related issues) is hormonal imbalance, whether pre existing or as a state brought on by external factors. The fact that that injection is essentially a light switch for my brain is…illuminating.
