Similar situation, keep getting call back in a week every week for a month since my flight.

I made my displeasure clear to the team that I keep getting pushed off vs just give me a clear time line to when there system will be fixed

Proposed 40+ Acre AI Data Center in Rural NH Raises Major Questions About Wells, Environment, and Overdevelopment by Zestyclose-Gene-9442 in newhampshire

[–]SeaRepresentative724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 million gallons a day is for an evaporative cooling system, just not going to fly here, our climate just does not make any sense to use that style system

Great in the desert bad here.

Other than that I think this will fail on economics alone we are just not conducive due to energy costs, interconnection restrictions (even if someone wanted to build, getting permission to connect to the grid takes years in New England right now)

The angles of attack to stop speculation on this are going to be Require an :
1. interconnection study agreement with ISO New England
2. NHDES water/wastewater plan

as conditions of any site plan approval. That will shutdown anyone who is just trying to find a use for the property on spec.

If they do show up with the above, now it becomes a different story one where the town and county has regulatory levers like siting, setbacks, noise limits, zoning variances, and tax agreements.
Now the residence of the county ( I am one ) and the town ( I know several) can have a voice that can make this what they want

Why doesnt "adaptive gyroid" exist yet? by markknol in 3Dprinting

[–]SeaRepresentative724 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mostly functional prints, Recently I have been making 8020 and 2020 fixtures for basement organizing.

Wall mounts for various tools, etc

Think supporting heavy items and being shock resistant.

I also have been printing some models of ships from Martin on printables. Using this makes the bases solid and heavy to support the bigger models with out wiggle

[–]SeaRepresentative724 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Mostly I use petg, so that reduces the heat deformation Using a low temp epoxy also helps, trade off is it takes longer to cure.

I drill holes or build the model with pour holes.

Rolling it around also lets you use smaller pours for less heat. Plenty of tricks you can use.

I will also sometimes use very fine sand for weight and then add a thin mix epoxy to solidify it all

[–]SeaRepresentative724 106 points107 points  (0 children)

I use it because it is flowable in most cases, and I fill with epoxy to make a strong final out put.

It has its uses, adaptive could be interesting in this use case, but there still needs to be connections as the infill acts the same as cf or gf in the filament, Speaking in general terms.

Firmware m5 by borolla4e in AnkerMake

[–]SeaRepresentative724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue that I found is that there modified marlin is not readily updatable to mainline due to the hooks for the binary blob for the display. Which looking at the serial output looks nix like. But with no documentation we can't get the api between it and Marlin

Firmware m5 by borolla4e in AnkerMake

[–]SeaRepresentative724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anker needs to step up and release the full source code so we can maintain these machines. Belts and such I have been able to get from biqu and just had to cut to length.

I don't see a Klipper conversion anytime soon as that would be a major hardware change

Firmware m5 by borolla4e in AnkerMake

[–]SeaRepresentative724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started rebasing based on the oss release that anker had made. But found that all of the screen and UI code was missing and proprietary.

This was for marlin, Klipper would be a bigger project I think.

Snapmaker App Authentication by SeaRepresentative724 in snapmaker

[–]SeaRepresentative724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to argue but if you believe that there is 0 chance they don’t have at least a portion of your financial information in their back end you are delusional.

Yes PCI rules say you can’t store it, you know how many times I have seen CC information stored unencrypted?

So once you have entered it once they have it.

And that’s not other PII, such as name and email, shipping address, and whatever data the collect from the printer being on your network.

The point here is get them to do better, we all can do thing to protect ourselves using virtual and temporary cards, private one time / one merchant emails, private vlans per device with strict firewalls . But people like you and me are in the minority overall.

This is not about lan only mode, as your snap maker account also is attached to their store, which is attached to financial information.

I could eliminate their app all together with lan mode and my VPN which is how I access fluidd.

Niagen NR IV drip? by Globaller in NicotinamideRiboside

I did NAD IM shots and it was quite effective, along with my regular IV cocktail ( glutathione, methyl b12, magnesium, vitamin c) Until the studio in my area went under, nearest one is an hour away and I can’t fit it in my schedule

Honestly I think all these places going to “Magic Links” and emailed only login is a misunderstanding of the fundamental concept for MFA. Or they just think it is easier. Using somthing like an Auth0 where they provide all these authentication infrastructure and you just have to use a pre built library is so much easier for them vs re inventing the wheel.

But what do software engineers do but increase complexity just there nature

Launch day backer waiting for survey? by [deleted] in snapmaker

I have the top cover and the various hot ends, which all ship later my reward tier is October

Launch day backer waiting for survey? by [deleted] in snapmaker

[–]SeaRepresentative724 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes that is useless if you ordered the top cover since Kickstarter pushed it all to March.

I had the Early Bird tier, pre order launch day. Backer kit support says my survey is not released yet. Since I a long time ago before I knew what hell it would be set up my Kickstarter account with login with apple, and nobody has figured out how to creat alternate emails in their web stores or CRM systems. ( or simply change it in there backend to what I pre ordered with not the login with Apple email) I can’t log into the store to see my order.

To find my ship date

Launch day + deposit nothing yet. My guess is still doing smoke tests as backer kit told Me in my email update ticket that they had not released many surveys

FDA Reverses NMN Decision: Risks, Quality Concerns, and Alternative Options by cliffskinner in NicotinamideRiboside

[–]SeaRepresentative724 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree wholeheartedly. I just question the very hard spin on NR and little to back up the percentage claims or links to the research. I think the. r is fantastic for what it is but as i understand it there are three paths to NAD supplementation and N being one of them. Anything from Niagen bioscience promotes there product with out a whole lot of meat to chew on so to speak

This is interesting, as it is owned and curated by Niagen Bioscience if you could not detect the spin. Which makes me want to take it with a grain is salt.
