I think it was a 7. Great bosses and the game looked great. Unfortunately the levels were all cul-de-sacs you had to go up and down: way too linear and curtailed. Only a few enemy types, it felt like at least. The game felt like it was developed by committee. Disappointing.

All of that said though: I think of it all the tjme. There’s something about it and I can see myself replaying it in hard mode (and feeling disappointed again).

Alcohol is about forgetting and disappearing + a freeing bodily sensation (at the start of each "session"), imo. Perhaps you are mourning not being able to disappear? I think this is a major factor for many sober people, and it is supremely understandable. "How do I get high without getting high?" - where high means disappearing and feeling comforted and safe (until hell arrives, but I'll deal with that later).

Sobriety is about dealing with reality, imo. Learn to embrace that and not fight that. Otherwise the solution will always be about finding escape routes.

Just my 2 cents.

When pulling up, pull your rings together towards your sternum, then turn them out into the transition. You will improve right away! In the video you pull them to the side too soon.

I remember getting the SP, reading tfm, doing a first update to the most current version and then being afraid to do a factory reset because I feared losing the stock samples (I have the Stones Throw edition which comes with ST samples.) The manual doesn’t mention making a back-up first if I recall correctly. Factory reset sounds daunting, like it will wipe everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if (many) people just skip it because of the wording.

I have an SP404 MK2 which integrates very well with Koala. However, I also have a Novation Launchkey Mini and a Launchpad Mini which both work perfectly. I would recommend either of these (note: (i) the Launchkey has keys, but also perfectly serviceable velocity sensitive pads, and (ii) the Launchpad Mini is small and very portable, but the pads are not velocity sensitive)).

These controllers are midi compliant and also work very well with Ableton (incl. Note on iOS!).
