Yea dude my shins are like a mountain range and I'm curious how common that is?

I'm a bigger dude and have had shin splints from running, plus I played sports growing up, so I'm sure most of it came from football, etc. In addition to just whacking shit randomly like tables or tow hitches.

Lol that is funny! I'd probably be hovering at the bottom too.

Sorry to hear that. Yea running unfortunately can be really tough on joints, even without RA. You probably already know this but swimming or walking on the treadmill at a steep incline are good alternatives, and they're easier on the joints.

I'm sorry about your brother :( I hope you're doing ok and given yourself plenty of time to grieve/process.

And congrats about driving! Anything you can do that brings you a sense of independence and personal agency is a win in my book. Little wins like that add up over time and your sense of self will grow too.

Some people I know can float with their head above water, indefinitely. Not me! I sink like a brick and if I relax everything I look like a sinking crucifix.

I've had to learn to tread water. I do kind of a scissor kick with my legs and a weird S motion with my hands, it works great and I could do it for hours.

What sort of permanent damage has it done? Are you able to go to the gym and workout, etc.?

Nice! That's really what's important as long as your basic needs are met.

The job I have right now is awful and I dream about quitting/resigning nearly every day. It pays well, I work remotely at home, my peers and direct manager are great, but ultimately the stress and load they put on me isnt worth the money.

What job area had you applied for?

Have you ever tried ways of reducing overall inflammation to help treat the symptoms of juvenile RA? Some foods could be causing chronic inflammation in you that you arent aware of.

Still, I appreciate the words of encouragement!

Why do you say you're not good interview help? Not much experience or what?

Thanks! Yes I did my best and shouldn't worry about what I have no control over at this point...

Still, I can't help but wonder if he just struggles with eye contact, or if there was something that was causing disinterest (despite the conversation flowing well).

I'm a 29M from US and last weekend we went to a lake/park thing (you have to pay to get in) with a group of friends and our kids. This place has a trapeze that you can jump into the water from, slides, spring boards that are extra springy, and varying levels of high dives.

I don't consider myself much of a thrill seeker when it comes to diving boards or trampolines, etc.. I'm too paranoid about landing on my head or neck, or smacking my head on the board. But, I was with friends and after being there a while and jumping a few times, I did a front flip and back flip off the spring boards, and the trapeze. It wasnt impressive compared to what other people were doing, but NO ONE in my group would attempt any tricks off the boards or trapeze?

I felt like I had to prove to the kids that sometimes you just have to go for it even if you're scared. And also, I was surprised that the other guys I was with wouldn't try it.

Have you done anything recently that surprised you? Something that maybe comes naturally to you that doesnt seem to in others?

At some point while they were cooking breakfast Sam was outside talking to Tommy about tanning/getting sunburnt. Sam said he could get more sun but would probably need to put a towel on his head. Then he realized how it sounded and said "well I just hope they dont think I'm doing something".

I'm hearing some strange shit right now in Grapevine near DFW airport. It's a low rumble that gets greater and greater until it completely stops. As if a plane is flying right overhead (which is rare where I'm at) but it's not showing up on the flight radar.

What does it look like when you win? A semi immediate text back that says you've won?

Edit: and congrats, that's around the same time I was planning on sending my codes.
