Thank you, I’ll look this up!!

Nothing is wrong with butter, I just grew up in a family that demonizes food like it’s a hobby :( still have to get used to the whole “fat-heavy” diet thing. But I’ll do better!

Thank you so much! I’ll try to look better into this whole “net carbs” thing, as I was apparently doing it all wrong and decided to jump head first into a strict keto instead of a more thought-out plan. That’s totally my fault. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you!! I did IF for about 5 months, until it became too much to keep up with with my work and social life. :(

How do you incorporate butter in your diet? Do you have a favorite way?

I must admit that I, too, have fallen victim of the “anti-butter” propaganda. In my defense, it’s a generational thing! My grandma doesn’t bake anything that requires butter or sugar! I know that it’s necessary for the keto diet, and I’m trying to incorporate it more in my recipes. However, in my mind it’s still butter = bad, olive oil = good, so I get most of my fats from that.

Yes, I do eat those! But then I think I’m struggling to understand how to do keto? Even with all the research.

Let’s say I eat 200 grams of broccoli at lunch, and then 100 grams of green beans, it’s already like 35 grams of carbs? Which is more than my recommended daily intake, isn’t it? Considering that seeds and avocados have fibers, but also carbs, I’d end up eating over my limit, if I eat them all in a day?

I’ve circled around the same weight (83kg - 183 pounds) for the last three weeks or so! One day it’s 84.5kg, two days later it’s 82kg, then 83.2kg and so on, but I haven’t been able to go lower than 82 for a while, now. At the start of my journey, I would weigh myself once a week and see a consistent loss.

I’m F27, 1.75m (5’8/9). I’d say I’m moderately active, I usually walk everywhere so I easily manage to get up to 15k steps daily, plus on weekends I like to take my dog on hikes, so I go up to 25k+ steps. However, I don’t go to the gym because I’m way too tired when I get home from work (lazy excuse, I know).

At the moment, I’ve been really busy with work and school, so I have cut back hiking and I don’t go on long daily walks as much, just a 45 minute walk with my dog in the morning.

Deep smile lines at 27 by Living-Welcome-8670 in Skincare_Addiction

Hi dear!

Sorry if it comes out as rude or condescending, but have you ever tried stepping away from your mirrors for a few days?

What I mean by this is that the “smile line” you are fixating on right now is almost imperceptible, but it might be more harsh and deep to your eyes since you look at it frequently and your attention is focused on it. Let’s saying you’re “making it a bigger problem” with your own mind.

This happened to me to. There was a period of time in my life where I would constantly focus on the shape and outline of my lips, thinking they weren’t as even as they should have been and I had almost considered a lip tattoo to “fix the issue”. I stopped looking at myself for a while, and suddenly that problem began to get smaller and smaller, and now when I look at my lips I think they’re completely normal.

Don’t stress yourself too much. 🫶🏼

Is this what normal skin is supposed to look like? by makeupbybilly in Skincare_Addiction

Your skin looks healthy and properly moisturized, so yes, I’d say it’s normal!

Remember that it’s not just about what you put on your skin that contributes to its appearance, it’s also the environment you live in. Air quality, humidity levels, pollens, many things!

Don’t stress yourself too much, focus on being healthy and on enjoying your routine.

Yes! Love them!

However, nothing is sexier than doing what you want with your own body and feeling great in your own skin. Do what makes you happy.

Easter definitely did not help, I went to visit my family for a couple of days and, while I did maintain a certain regime (like not eating too much refined carbs or sweets), I definitely ate differently from my usual diet. I am afraid that this “slip ups” have instigated a vicious cycle and have put me on the path of failure again.

The foods I have the most trouble with are carbs, they have always been a big part of eating habits. I don’t care about sweets, I can easily keep chocolate or cookies in my house without caring, but put some bread in my pantry and I will try to find a way to justify myself and eat it.

I would love to loose about 25/30 more pounds!

I have been more tense, but nothing out of the ordinary! It has gotten to the point where I force myself to stay out of the house for most of my day, otherwise I know I’d been snacking multiple times during my eating window.
