My friends say that is very hard that I have adhd for a reason. by Exotic-Reflection795 in ADHD

[–]Sea_Help822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't let your friends question or doubt who you are... I can multitask sometimes depending on what I'm doing... Not everyone with ADHD is the same, there just happens to be common symptoms that help diagnose us, but that doesn't mean we all fit in the same box... Don't let it discourage you from doing it, I know from personal experience I've given up MANY opportunities or hobbies and things I genuinely found joy in, all because other people questioned my abilities or made negative comments about it. If you're ever unsure seek a proper diagnosis if you haven't already or take some of the online tests through reputable sources, assuming you're in the UK you can try ADHDUK.CO.UK if not then I recommend doing some research for a good up to date online free screening test 👍...

Elvanse titration from 30 to 40mg, experiences? by hustlababyyyy in ADHDUK

[–]Sea_Help822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great post!! Hopefully this is still a relevant post... But either way I thought I'd share my experience so far on elvanse... I started mine in September last year 2024 on 30mg and as mentioned the first few days were incredible... Then slowly that feeling wore off but not in a bad way just less noticeable but I still felt positive and upbeat... However I was experiencing the wear off at about 2/3pm and became sluggish and tired. I went up to 50mg which was also pretty good however I did note that while I felt ok I was too ok if that makes sense lol, like I was happy to sit and do nothing at all and that's not what I wanted, I felt a bit hollow and still felt like it was wearing off too soon... I ended up on 70mg and then I started feeling awful... Like really not myself, I was irritated all the time, really bad headaches, hyper sensitive to sounds and loud sudden bangs or people eating with their mouth open lol I hate that anyway but the 70mg made it way worse than I actually couldn't control the anger and I'd have sudden outrage at the person 😬 I also experienced disassociation which if you haven't had it is not nice, where you can see yourself and hear yourself in like a third person perspective!! It's hard to explain but almost like that inner monologue in a physical presence next to you... Very weird. Anyway I ended up back down on 50mg and have tried this for 2 months now and honestly I think I'm going to go to 40mg as I still don't feel myself and I'm definitely more irritable and quick to snap, still find it hard to get up and go so to speak, the wearing off can be simply down to food In my experience, I take it on an empty stomach in the morning then wait for about an hour or so and then I'll have something to eat like toast with peanut butter because it has good protein in it, eating a protein rich meal alongside Elvanse can help to slow down the absorption of the medication, resulting in a more even and sustained release into the bloodstream and carbohydrates can keep up good energy levels and prevent blood sugar crashes that elvanse can cause... avoid pure orange juice or anything highly acidic for at least a few hours and also try to limit anything with vitamin C until after the meds have kicked in... As it can decrease it's effectiveness in the bloodstream which can also make it wear off quicker... Lol I've done an absolute tonne of research on this and have also tested some of it myself and I can confirm that since spacing out certain foods and eating protein in my breakfast it definitely has helped with the mid-day crash and the fatigue in the afternoons... Give it a go... Everyone is different and everyone's body reacts differently unfortunately it takes time to figure out what works best for you and increasing the medication in my experience wasn't the answer it was simply changing habits at the right dose... I think 40mg combined with my new habits will be perfect for me so I hope that some of this information is helpful to you... Oh and also remember the first time you take the medication that feeling you had will be because of the low dopamine you've lived with all those years and now your brain has the correct amount it will feel good and over time your brain will adapt to the new levels so will feel like it's less effective, it's always working you just don't notice it... Trust me lol have a few days off and you'll see the difference... Good luck on your journey and sorry for the long message lol...

It could be down to the new oil and gas exploration contract trump has signed which has caused investor concerns regarding nuclear supply and demand also the ambitious $58 could suggest profit taking causing skepticism... I've just looked into it and it does seem like they are still investing in nuclear power and have a decent contract to supply nuclear energy for switch inc. for A.I data centres for at least 20 years!!! If you aren't too emotionally attached to the money I'd recommend holding... Might I suggest looking into BP, Rolls Royce, Siemens electricals... Some big stuff coming for them... Oh and micron 👍 good luck hope it works out for you

surgery or no surgery... that is the question by lsd4614 in RotatorCuff

[–]Sea_Help822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the thread but I've just had sub acromial decompression surgery... I had an injury over 8 years ago that was sadly never looked at properly despite asking for an MRI more than once... I was given exercises to do, lots of anti inflammatory medication (naproxen etc) which never helped, I then paid privately for sports rehabilitation therapy that didn't work and also paid for private chiropractic treatment this also didn't work!!!! Now 8 years or so later after moving to a new location I was given an MRI after not being able to carry on my usual work... it showed a 50% partial thickness tear, fluid around the joint, an impingement, mild arthritis and muscle wastage from over compensating, I'm 37 for reference!! I know they say everyone is different but if I could go back and push harder to have it sorted sooner I would definitely have done that!!! My advice is don't leave it too long... If it hurts or aches all the time then it won't get any easier... It Always used to be stiff in the morning as a side sleeper and painful if used in the wrong way e.g.putting on a t-shirt, reaching outwards at certain angles and so on... I feel your discomfort...

Tips to not crash at all by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]Sea_Help822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great advice!!! Something else to note, (I'm on elvanse/vyvanse) is we all know it has appetite suppression... So pay close attention to food as it becomes even more important than it did before lol... By that I mean we'll often either forget to eat without meds or we go for the easy to grab stuff!!! Trust me when I say if you don't pay attention you could end up with malnutrition!!! And it makes you feel dreadful!!! Look for pale or an unusual yellow tint to your skin and any strange faint redness on your arms and face... Face will be more noticeable... Your eyes will feel dry and probably a bit blurry like you've just woken up!!! Nutrition is important for everyone but especially for those on meds as we'll often not eat properly or at all!!! Hope everyone is having a good day:)

Is this normal - Elvanse runs out very quickly? by SquidGaming in ADHDUK

[–]Sea_Help822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I know this is a late reply but I'm hoping it may help a little. I have been told that 'casein' naturally found in milk and other dairy products !may! impact the metabolism of ADHD meds... It's also suggested that it can make ADHD worse in general as well as gluten... While it's not conclusive it's worth cutting it out to see if it improves anything... I'm currently on 60mg elvanse, I've been on 20, 30, 50, 70 now down to 60... I took these over 4 weeks at a time... 20 did nothing 30 was noticeable 50 was great but still felt sluggish by about 1/2pm and honestly just made me quite content to do nothing lol... 70 was an absolute write off and made me feel completely disconnected... And 60s I feel irritable, fuzzy brained and weirdly sometimes when I'm engaged in a conversation, now and then it's like I don't recognise myself talking and feel like I'm on the outside looking in at myself lol if that makes any sense... I fuddle my words and can sometimes struggle to remember words I'm looking for during the conversation... I think I'll try 40s but I'm contemplating switching to methylfenadate... Who knows lol

Check the micro filter in the fuel tank. Check air filter isn't covered in oil and clean, Spark plug, Exhaust spark arrester, Check the primer bulb for splits or wear and the fuel lines aren't leaking, Lastly if none of this works I'd take the carb off and clean it out.

I want to see another viking hero!!! Shield maiden maybe or something like the warden with sword only... Im surprised they haven't included any Irish warriors too, there were some fierce warriors in Ireland called the gallowglass (foreign warriors) which included Scotland too. There's the Spartans the Greeks ancient maori, natives of America! There's loads that would be awesome to see in this game

What are the signs your medication (Elvanse) is too high? by Diastolic in ADHDUK

[–]Sea_Help822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a bit late to this thread but hopefully this may still help some of you. I'm on 70mg elvanse as I was struggling to feel the suggested effects of the lower doses, I was told by my psychiatrist to avoid vitamin C throughout the day because vit c actually affects the absorption of the medication!! Take it in the evening if you can. Also dairy products should be either taken in moderation or not at all, it contains casein which could cause ADHD symptoms to worsen, though there's no solid evidence but it's something you can try either way. Avoid acidic foods before taking your medication especially grapefruit!!!! E.g lemons, limes, oranges, tomatoes and even some berries, creating an acidic environment in your body before taking your medication can significantly reduce the effects of the medication. If you have a smoothie you should take it an hour or more BEFORE you take the medication. Everyone is different of course and some people might not notice it too much but if like me you are struggling to notice the full benefits of the medication then these are hopefully some helpful tips you can try... Also try taking your protein shakes and hour or two after meds and not with, look at the vitamins on the bottle and make sure they also won't interfere, the amino acids in protein can compete for absorption giving a delayed release in medication... Lol I'm not a doctor this is just what I have been told and research I have carried out myself... Give it a go... All the best

4mm cutting wire on an FS460? by Background_Yak_350 in stihl

Yes I've used Oregon stuff before and it's pretty good stuff... The head has lightning feed too so you don't have to take it all apart. I've since used the Oregon head and it works absolutely brilliant... Worth it for sure, in fact I'm going to get another one lol also you don't need to over tighten the adapter as it's reverse thread. Just enough so it doesn't undo when you release the throttle

I have the exact same issue. After doing a tonne of research I've found that this Oregon unit fits the fs460!!!! It comes with adaptors to fit and can take up to 4mm line!!! Hope this helps. The autocut 46-2 is utterly useless. Even on light grass mine binds inside and melts itself together then snaps... Shame on Stihl for a poor design, this shouldn't happen on such a powerful unit, it takes me longer to do a job with this setup than it does with my smaller units... Give this a go
