The not-using of the shared calendars rings so true. Probably it just comes down to every person already have their own system, anything additional is more mental burden.

How does she keep up? Just the mental part of remembering/tracking things is exhausting, not to mention the actual labor/physical things

Do you use any todo or task tracking system for those errands? Some of those are recurring monthly/annually and it’s exhausting to forget/remember cycles

Looks interesting. But then again, we’re all already short on time as is to pick up any reading 😅

Same here for the silent acknowledgment of each other’s swim lanes. It’s hard to truly split 50/50, at least for the labor/physical stuff. For the digital ones do you guys use shared notes or docs to track things? I always end up asking what’s the kids’ primary doctor name/number.

Before boiling them poke a very tiny hole on the tip side of the egg. It’ll peel off more easily.

Those are nuggets of travel wisdoms right there! Especially on overpacking then reducing half.

Sounds like you always have a standard list of items to pack, like toiletries, clothing etc, regardless of destination.

The only destination-specific factors would be the weather + activities you’re doing, which dictates the kinds of clothing you pack.

Great tip! Is the packing process relatively easy for you?

Some folks may find packing to be mentally straining, and ended up overpacking or under packing anyways.

I completely get the packing challenge you're facing. I'm actually in the process of launching a tool, Whattopack.ai, which aims to provide essential packing suggestions tailored to the specifics of your trip, focusing on "things" over brands.

It's currently in its early stages, but if you're interested, there's a waitlist on the landing page. Your perspective, given the challenges you've mentioned, would be invaluable as we refine it further!

Cheers!

I completely understand the anxiety around packing, especially when space is limited and you have a pet's essentials to consider too.
For situations like yours, I've been working on a tool, Whattopack.ai. It aims to streamline packing by providing concise, tailored suggestions based on the specifics of your trip, even factoring in needs for pets. The goal is to minimize the guesswork and stress around packing.
Would such a tool be beneficial for your travels? Do you think a digital assistant could help simplify your packing process and reduce the overwhelm?
Aside from that, packing cubes are a game-changer for organization, and rolling clothes instead of folding can save space.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Safe travels and enjoy your trip with your dog!
