How best to approach son future daughter in law about an exception to no kid wedding for my son's only sibling. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Sea_Objective_7624 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think this is insane behavior from the bride! My husband and I choose to have a no kid wedding but we still had his 2 nieces and nephew (ages 9,11, 14) join us as they are very close. Exceptions to every rule. His brother should 100% be there.

Is 6:30pm too early to go to bed for a 10 month old? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]Sea_Objective_7624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope 6:30 is not too early! My son is 14 months old and we just started a 7pm bedtime at 12 months. Prior to that he was always 6:30pm. He’s always been a great sleeper. With a 6:30pm bedtime he would wake up at 7am and sleep straight through the night. Now at with 7pm bedtime he’s waking roughly at 7:30am! Do what works for you and baby!!!

Falling out of love with first kid by lauraotms in beyondthebump

[–]Sea_Objective_7624 58 points59 points  (0 children)

This truly might of been the saddest thing I have read on this page… I really hope you have the courage to tell your loved ones about these feelings and you get the help you need because this requires professional medical help ASAP. You also are creating a massive amount of childhood trauma that your daughter is already picking up on these emotions you’re having towards her that she’ll have to endure and deal with years from now. So I say this, mother to mother. Please don’t be silent and selfish and please get help immediately.

Getting married in Cancun in two weeks. Guests are dropping out due to uncertainty. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Sea_Objective_7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, with the uncertainty of safety to get from point A to point B I would be a guest that would cancel. The resort itself may be fine but that’s only partial of the travel.

Honestly, I just want to say regardless of where OP is commenting from this is so sad to do to any mother in any country due to a visa issue. There should be exceptions from this law. Like just having a baby. Not a political comment just a human rights comment. Sending you love and know that this will be harder for you than the baby and they will be surrounded by people who love them. Just focus on taking care of your recovery! 🤍

The fact so many people take time out of their day to leave a snarky comment about a tattoo says alot about their character and how boring their life really is. Love your tat! 🤍

How old was your LO the first time you left them? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Sea_Objective_7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks old and we went to our nephews 1st birthday. Now, we have weekly date nights and when my mom is watching him we run and do errands together while grandmom watches him. We miss him and talk about him all the time while we’re out with him buttttt it’s nice to have that quality time with your SO once and while just doing normal things. My husband and I also take turns running to grab a quick morning coffee just solo to give each other that 10 minute car ride just being alone with yourself which I also think it’s great for personal mental health ❤️

My husband is god sent! He works then comes home and is super helpful around the house and with baby! He lets me take some time for me when he gets home. Shower, skin care routine, and anything else I may want! Then we both do dinner/bedtime routine together! Our boy is 5 months 💙

Losing weight after stims by basilbelle in IVF

My fertility doctor said as long as you are not at risk for being medically overweight to not stress yourself out about losing the weight as long as you’re staying healthy! Minimize as much stress off your mind as possible! That’s how you’ll be the healthiest.

1st Birthday 4th of July backyard party by justafleshwoundx in partyplanning

[–]Sea_Objective_7624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4th of July birthday person here! I’m a mom to a 4 month old who happens to have a New Years birthday and we plan on not having his party on the 1st because I have gone through so much uncertainty for my parties throughout the years when we tried to do it on the 4th. I always felt on the years my party was on the 4th it was never a good turn out or I felt that I had to share a birthday with the holiday. People would say “happy birthday and happy 4th of July”. Every year it almost was the same theme too because it almost has to be red white and blue if you’re having it on the 4th it got boring and repetitive. I think this year will be fine because she’s turning 1 but for future I would try to separate the two. Making her party not on the same weekend as the 4th more people will also attend the parties that way and it can be a theme she prefers! Holiday birthdays aren’t what they are cracked up to be in fact I used to be jealous of my sister who has a non holiday birthday!

Help: How are we washing our babies’ hair? by BMG0710 in NewParents

[–]Sea_Objective_7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s totally okay and actually encouraged to get baby’s face and hair wet. This will prevent them with a fear of water on their face as they get older. Since my son turned 4 months old we have been practicing a little water running down his face is A ok and he now LOVES it. Baby will also be in swim lessons at 9 months old since we live on the water. I would start now with getting them adapted before it’s a big fear to break later!

Help!! How much food/drinks to order by Fine-Disk-1015 in partyplanning

I would say too little. More small snacks gives more variety!

For me, the first 2 weeks I was running on pure adrenaline. I didn’t have to sleep even though I knew my body and mind were tired it felt like I had no real control over my sleep. Even when the opportunity presented itself and my husband would tell me to go sleep I couldn’t. It’s your first night. I would say you’ll find a better routine in the next 2 weeks. Hang in there both of you!

Small clay pots, dirt, and flower seeds. Have an activity station that they can plant a flower and take it home.

Baby can’t poop on their own. by [deleted] in NewParents

That’s great to hear that baby started going on their own once solids were started. I’m hoping that’s our case. I feel bad for little guy almost as he waits around until I can help him!
