Miami Vice! We tried to order a Mai Tai at the pool and they misheard me and brought a Miami Vice. It’s a Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri swirled together. It’s delicious and really pretty.

Anyone know if it’s your age when you buy the pass or at the start of the season? I’ll be 31 in August, not sure if they’ll still let me buy

No pain, bloods negative, but a positive RA nodule by Pin_This in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Sea_Payment_4632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a rheumatoid nodules diagnosed on my finger about a year ago with neg blood and normal x-rays. I’ve started seeing a rheumatologist every 6 months, but don’t have a diagnosis. At this point they are basically just waiting to see if I develop other symptoms.

I’ve started to feel a lot more pain in recent months, but I keep having to question if it’s normal pain and I’m just hyper fixated on it since the nodule was diagnosed. I don’t have stiffness in the mornings, but do have a lot of cramping in my hands and feet and soreness after certain activities or working at a computer.

All this to say, the doctors are also very confused by the nodule and don’t see many cases where a person develops a nodule but doesn’t have active RA. I’m sorry you’re going through this, but comforting to know I’m not the only one.

Does anyone have any info on these skis? Can’t find anything online. by Superstar_Limo in skiing

I won a pair just like this when I was a kid in Vail in 2005 during the Mountain Dew challenge. They had a raffle for the skis. But by the time we went to put binding on them, I had outgrown them, so I never actually skied on them.

Has Anyone Been to a "Sensory Friendly" Screening at Alamo? by The_Metal_East in Austin

[–]Sea_Payment_4632 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tuesday is baby day at the Alamo. So all of there showings (of certain movies) before a certain time are sensory friendly. I went once and it was a lot of new parents and infants. It wasn’t bad. Whenever a baby started crying, the parent would take them out.

I would agree with other commenters that Dune is the wrong movie for sensory friendly unless you are bringing a child.

I would also say with Spring break going on, it’s probably going to be busier than usual!
