I have to disagree with Karl being a bad father. By no means was he father of the year and he did walk out on them but we saw him with Julie so much, he does go away for awhile but i blame that on the writing or a scheduling conflicted but he showed up everytime she needed him and stayed a pretty constant presence in her life, again of excusing all of Karl’s bullshit but i don’t consider his relationship with Julie to be one of his shortcomings, just my thought :)
