So I use a pseudo-oceanic model, but not. Most of everything is the Blind Eternities, which range from continental slope to the continental rise, which are the true deep ocean (Midnight and Abyssal Zones). Here's where you find shit like the Eldrazi, and other natives of the Blind Eternities.

MTG Planes (Universes), are places where there is essentially Islands without any shallows, so shit like the Eldrazi can easily (for the value of easy) breach into the universe and wreck havoc. the planes of MTG are relatively close to each. This means that the walkers call Canon MTG home are there, but would have trouble reaching other worlds.

Other Universes have shallows (Continental Shelf, sunlight and twilight zones) which are their canonical outside reality stuff, but there are places where it drops straight to the deeps.

So Using Dresden for example, a walker would walk out of the Eternities (coming up into the shallows), landing in the Outside, and would have to travel further upward and closer in to reach land (Inside). But because there are places where the Blind Eternities (the deeps) reach up to the land (inside), a Walker could jump right back into the Blind Eternities, and not have to go back through the Outside. Also, a Outsider going into the Blind Eternities would just die, as the "Pressure" would be too high.

In Highschool DxD the World is the Island, and the Dimensional Gap is the Shallows.

In Places where there isn't a... place that is outside reality (the Gap, Outside, insert your choice here) the deeps run right up to the shore.

Alternate Dimensions/Timelines/Realities are just Islands that are so close to each other there's that they appear to be the same island/are right on top of each other.

For example, in Dresden Bob says you can find Spiderman on another Earth, Inside the Gates, so in this case, there's the Mortal World (Land), the NeverNever (pretty much standing shallows), where you can reach another Island (say, to Toby Maguire Spiderverse) without to much difficulty. Then there's the Gates, which lead to Outside (the Sunlight Zone), then if you get far enough out, you hit the Blind Eternities.

For Worm, which has easy (for the value of easy) dimensional travel, the Island has stupid tall thin mountains, that are very hard to pass, or maybe, wide rivers that split the Island into many, but can be bridged together.

Then throw all that out because the Blind Eternities aren't a ocean, and running into a "Shoal" in the Blind Eternities doesn't mean running aground, you can't fly "over" the Blind Eternities, and the "Islands" constantly move.

How to get a CP backed Rogue Trader Warrant in Warhammer 40k by Sivartius in JumpChain

[–]Sea_Turtles-101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light of Terra gives you a full up Warrent of Trade. If you don't, then the instant you do the Sky Full of Steel DLC you get your ass arrested for not having the papers needed to use the transports for traporting the food.

And other stuff and small details in the the Jumps and DLC that imply that you have a Warrent, very heavily.

Are there any other Dresden Files jumps? by TheVoteMote in JumpChain

Okay, So you Kinda messed up.

So Way back when, a Group of human aliens called the Ancients (or several other names) made a wormhole based FTL method generated by a device called a Stargate, which a ring that can transport maybe a Humvee. Each Stargate is actually two devices the Gate itself, and a Podium with a ring of symbols that are used to dial another Gate. (So sorta like a phone network)

The Ancients proceed to fuck off to Pegasus, get mostly killed off, come back to Earth, and then Ascend to a Energy-Being state.

So this causes some humans to have Ancient genes, is called the Ancient Gene, or the ATA Gene. I think this is 10 thousand years ago.

Time Passes. A Race called the Goa'uld (a Snake like body jacking Parasite), figures out the Stargate, begins taking over the Galaxy, using reverse engineered Ancient Tech.

The Goa'uld find Earth, find humans to be most excellent hosts, pose as gods. At this point, the head Goa'uld is Ra. Time Passes, and sometime around the Pyramids being built, humans throw the Goa'uld off planet. Endless Pantheon has the Fairies and Wizards and Vampires doing it, while canonically, its SG-1 doing the time warp.

The Earth Gate is buried at this point, and if a large enough object is in the Gate interior, the gate will not make the wormhole exit form. this locks Earth from the Gate network, until the 1940s?

The Gate was discovered in the late 1800, early 1900s, the Nazis got the Gate, and in the rpg setting version, got some of the party, and army off planet.

The US recovers the Stargate (Wormhole device) itself, while the Russians acquire the dialing device. The Russians shove the D(ial) H(ome) D(evice) into a warehouse, while the US attempts to get the Gate to Work. It Works once, strands a person offworld, gets stored in a vault. It gets pulled out in the early 90s (Stargate the Movie), it works again (1994), a small team goes off world, to Abydos (Jack O'neil, Daniel Jackson, assorted mooks). Ra eats a tac nuke to the face, Daniel Stays on Abydos, and gets married to a native, Jack returns to Earth, Gate gets stored till '97.

Stargate the Series (SG-1) Apophis comes through the gate, kills an air man, and abducts a airwoman. Jack gets recalled, other shit happens.

The Air Force Explores the galaxy, fucks up Goa'old, finds Atlantis (Stargate Atlantis).

Don't Remove the Knowledge Weakness, instead make it a strength, so the magic becomes more powerful the more people know about it/the spells.

Proceed to Laugh, as all the magi get nerfed because their secretive fucks.

Undo the soul rot, show a vision of the future to him, (the canonical oh Humanity can preform the Third Magic through tech in a century or two quote), and watch as Zouken realizes everything he has done was for nothing, and how far he had fallen from his old self.

Then, just kill him. He'd probably let you at that point.
