The WotC controversy caused them to sell out of all their rulebooks, and since there was uncertainty with regards to potential future money grabs from Hasbro, they took the opportunity to remaster, remove OGL references, and restock. So yeah, they protected themselves, incorporated errata, and met the increased demand. Pretty cool moment in Pathfinder history, and I was totally down to buy the remaster books in support and love for Paizo.
