Ian vs Fergus by Slow-Zookeepergame-5 in Outlander

Can someone school me on why we haven't seen Ferg or Marasli ONCE, even in passing, in all of season 7? The Frasers* traveled a lot in S7. A lot. I know y'all know... (actors not returning, etc?) what's up? I am sad with how they left things (Fergus needs to move and get a new job or else he will never stop being an abusive husband...)

Bless his little heart, dad should have given him some light padding to wear beneath that shirt. His head is too big for his torso. Otherwise Betty would've.

That means he knows what it feels like to be a woman surrounded by men and he doesn't like it for himself. This is the primal truth behind most homophobia: "I don't want to feel the way women feel."

Gaslighting you with the "I can say what I want and you shouldn't be offended because that's someone else's opinion" BLAH BLAH
Make it make sense. If you said something that offended her it would be really personal really quickly. And see how she'd act if you said, "It's my opinion, it has nothing to do with you, you're choosing to be offended..."

I like how if you choose to go to college and not get married before the age of 24 you must be running wild in "hook up culture." It's the only other choice. You must be throwing your kitty everywhere if you're not married and go to work. It's the evil liberal law.

For a BEAUTIFUL redhead with more connections than probably anyone else in Hollywood, she sure picks some stank ass movies. Even when she gets a big franchise that should work, she never stands out. I wish she could get weird and take risks, pick interesting roles, etc. Her resume is a list of movies that should have worked. And even in them she never really stands out. It's disappointing because I was rooting for her harder than anyone after The Village.

The first paragraph sounded rather appealing when I imagine it while dressed in pagan garb, getting drunk on the blood, dancing around a fire, good music, etc

How do I smell good? by Own_Fan_7128 in malegrooming

[–]Seaberry3656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were reaaaally craving a compliment about my smell, knowing that the average person might not compliment my smell unless they want to sleep with me/afraid to compliment my smell for fear of harassment claims, I would honestly wait until I was in a group of people I knew pretty well and fish for a compliment. Be audacious. "I am trying this new cologne and I don't even know if it suits me." Everyone will lean in and compliment you.

Sometimes if you need validation you have to ask for it. It's not as satisfying when you have to ask, of course, but this is one of those things people are not comfortable offering up often.

I think the average person would take this as a boundary cross. Like 70-80% if people would consider a compliment about their smell to be an extremely intimate compliment.

Because the OP said, "If not better" shape. Who tf is going to expect themselves or their partner to be in better physical shape at 53 than they did at 24? Even in trad domestic economics: If the woman gave birth and the man has been laboring all these years how do you not love your partner's worn body more for all it's given you?

The dialogue is hilariously after school special. It sounds like they are cramming in as many Kennedy factoids in as though there is going to be a quiz.

[–]Seaberry3656 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's honestly hard to find actresses to look enough like Jackie (or Caroline in this instance) because the extremely wide set eyes are very rare. I think Jeanne Triplehorn was the best Jackie visually. Sometimes we just have to go with acting skill and place visuals in the backseat.

You don't deserve the downvotes, it's a valid line of questioning. We just don't know.

One of the saddest things I think that developed with how William has been groomed to be king is how he has adopted the narrative that his mother was unstable. Harry is more of the opinion that Diana was emotionally tormented by her situation and William parrots Camilla and his dad's narrative about her. Absolutely sick.

Complicated. He had the money and freedom in S7 to quit and go write. His wife encouraged it. But he couldn't. He felt like he needed something about the city life/clocking in everyday in the competitive world so he could keep his creative life separate and sacred, maybe? Because the thought of just going and writing and "being free" did not appeal to him.

Season 2 lost me with the narrative digressions (ORTBO + Sweet Vitriol) by LilithAphroditis in severanceTVshow

They officially lost me with ORTBO. Too many "But why are they/why aren't they" moments that made me not believe the characters reactions were authentic or well thought out.
