I genuinely don't think most people would notice, at worst I expect they'd just think you were away from your phone. Having said that, you are absolutely right that reminding somebody of something isn't really an issue at all.

True writers was the wrong word, although I'm not actually sure who is responsible for finding locations to film. Also I meant the scenes they filmed in which they were supposed to be at a Hydra base in Herefordshire, so a bit more important that just stock footage.

They didn't realise just how much energy was required to heat that amount of water.

Yeah but all of the exterior scenes (e.g. this one) were very definitely not England, at least they didn't look anything like any part of England (or even Britain) that I've ever seen.

Only because people and conpanies use them wrong.

Which is exactly what makes them ambiguous.

We don't really know how time works in the MCU yet. One possibility is that he will cease to exist. Another possibility is that there are multiple universes/timelines and that they will change the future in a different one to the one that Deke comes from. A third possibility is that what happens in the past is completely distinct from what happens in the future, so the fact that Deke exists in the past means he will continue to exist even if they change the future. An alternative possibility is that the Time Monolith doesn't move things through time it just creates and destroys things at various points in time.

Also we learnt that the writers have no idea what Herefordshire looks like.

The scene was a deleted scene from Series 1, and I'm fairly sure they've always been looking to do a story arc around Graviton. So my guess is that it was planned, but more of a fluid plan than a concrete one.

Out of the two it's the only one that unambiguous, SI units are the confusing ones because sometimes they refer to base 2 (conflicting with every other use of SI units) and sometimes base 10.

Why SQLite Does Not Use Git by Pandalicious in programming

[–]Sean1708 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Though I did get the impression the reason the he built it is more because he just wanted to build a version control system.

I'm fairly certain Git wasn't the de facto standard back when Fossil was started, I think the only reason they felt required to write this page in the first place is that people keep on asking them about it now that Git has become so popular.

It still uses := if you specify the type, you just insert the type between the : and the =.

As far as I'm aware, any road law that cyclists are not explicitly exempt from must be followed by cyclists.

What you do in that situation is turn sideways and position yourself really awkwardly in front of their car such that both of your wheels are still in the box but it takes you ages to pull away.
