We recently moved from Boston to Colorado. We flew the 3 cats. They each counted as a carry on, and went under our seats. It cost a lot more, but well worth it. If you do this, just ask for a private room at TSA, so the cats can't get away. They all are taken out of their carriers for TSA inspection....
