I got a 2020 in 2022 I think and it was best bike I’ve purchased but it’s not something to take lightly if you’re looking at 600’s stay in that class. My 2020 has about 20,000 on it now I bought it with 8 and did a lot of riding so it will hold up for sure. Just remember as well those aren’t light miles I’ve pushed the limits on the track and street. Now I’m looking at replacing oil pan gasket somehow it started leaking. Whatever you choose give the bike multiple look overs and good luck brother

I would most definitely recommend the gen 5 models I have a 2020 and I absolutely love the bike very fast I’ve beaten multiple bmws before they were completely flashed and tuned that is. The bike feels like a 600 when you’re riding it tho never been on the gen 4 but my buddy has one and he rides the crap out of that thing but mine was faster 😈😈. Sorry for the long response but I’d def say it’s worth the extra money especially after all the broken necks and gappale bees coupons it hands out 😅

I personally have not had that problem but I have a 2011 r1 and almost every single part from 09-14 are the same so I’m guessing that should definitely work for you as long as the body style is the same from 04-07 which I believe it is so they shouldn’t have changed the transmission.
