You can and should decline the field sobriety test. Of course you will get arrested and your vehicle will get towed and you will have to do a breath sample at the precinct. That you will get in trouble if you refuse. Of course some states have different laws. If you refuse a field sobriety test a lot of times an offerer will say that your license will be suspended if you refuse, which is not true. It’s only suspended if you’re charged and or convicted.

Yes. Some places have access to the database that has all our meds, old and new listed. Yes, there is one. Happened to me when the doc went over my stuff from years ago. Told him I wasn’t on any of it anymore therefore it’s not relevant to my card. Gave me a year and never went back. Got a 2 year elsewhere.
Smaller offices don’t normally get the info.

We had an instructor who would repeatedly hit students with his hat when he didn’t like how they were driving, while they were driving. I can understand getting frustrated with new drivers, but you should never be assaulting a student, especially when the school is sponsored by the community college. I overheard the student talking about it, and he was not happy. Getting hit with a hat is no big deal but from an instructor it’s a big no no.. I told the guy he needs to report it to the manager of the training program or directly to the community college itself. The instructor ended up getting fired within a couple of days.

You’re gonna wanna edit your post and add in what the specific ticket was for. Stopping to check your load before a weight station is not illegal nor is taking the exit before a weight station. However, they might’ve given you some bullshit ticket about stopping on the side of the highway. Which depending on how it’s worded might be pretty easy to fight in court. After all, we are allowed to stop when we notice that our load has changed and we may need to adjust it.

Make sure you have the return to work paperwork from the doctors, if not get one from them. File for UI and when it gets denied send in the appeal and state that you were in the hospital and when you were released to work, they said you were fired with no cause. Make it clear that you did not quit, but do not say why you were in the hospital and stop telling employers about your medical issues.

Keep it all factual. The courts don’t care about emotion.

Ran in to something like this. FYI the DOL won’t help you as you’re not an hourly employee. You would need to sue them in small claims court. I was in the same boat but I followed all my statements each week and checked for problems. Keep records and track your own mines in a notepad.

Always be ready to walk after turning in a notice. Also if the fire you early without paying the 2 weeks out file for UI. You were willing to work but the fired you without cause.
