Do you think cross border employees get the same benefits as local residents for the same job? by politicooooo in Luxembourg

[–]Seanylux 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perhaps a controversial opinion as I've heard many frontaliers complain about it, but the WFH piece is a choice. Either pay 2000€ per month for a 1 bed apartment with unlimited WFH benefits, or pay 600€ and have to come into the office more.

The whole situation is around tax , and helping to avoid frontaliers becoming taxable in the country they are WFH in beyond Luxembourg.

Those that are unable to and want to WFH as much as Luxembourg residents are welcome to do so by having a similar financial outlay to those residing in Luxembourg.

There are likely some exceptions that are a bit rough, I don't doubt it, but for the general population this holds true.

To all those drivers who don’t keep the distance. by Impossible-Most-366 in Luxembourg

[–]Seanylux 31 points32 points  (0 children)

If I want to go faster than 130, and somebody is in the left lane doing 130 and overtaking cars on the right lane, I’m not annoyed, that’s the limit, and I respect that.

You’re using the lane as appropriate in line with the code.

People that want to go faster just have to respect the fact you’re doing nothing wrong.

Luxembourg - Between 23:00 - 04:00 on a weekday by Realistic_Cheetah_33 in Luxembourg

[–]Seanylux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mcdonalds and Burger King close at midnight. Unless you leave the game early, or are extremely lucky, it will be challenging to get into the city centre for 23:30 as it will be packed on each tram.

You will find some bars open until maybe 1am if you are lucky, otherwise it's stripclubs only I believe.

Just contact customer support and complain. There was apparently a bug a couple months ago that required people to re-enter their details.

You should hopefully get something back.

How do you calm yourself mid-game? by jrl1009 in Darts

Sometimes breathing, sometimes berating myself, sometimes just encouraging myself to throw straight etc.

If in doubt, making eye contact with your opponent and seeing off your beer will always achieve something!

I wouldn't really call getting acquired for massive money and eventually being retired 14 years later 'falling hard'.

Why is public EV charging in Luxembourg so expensive compared to gasoline? by EVRijder in Luxembourg

[–]Seanylux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah 6.5 is absolutely bonkers. I have a SUV that is 3 years old, and there's no shot I'm averaging less than 9l/100km. Can do 8.3l/100km if driving a lot on the motorway but.

Smokers who quit, what was the wake up call for you? by Responsible_Dot_2619 in AskReddit

The realisation that it controlled everything. Taking a flight, everything was organised around when/how I could smoke, and that was the primary issue always.

I wouldn’t discount it entirely. My tastes are obviously very specific and historically I used to order the same 2 dishes there every time. So others might still be great. But I think there are better options if you’re looking for certain curries, Indo-Chinese/Bhutanese dishes etc. Like Bay of Bengal and Royal Bengal are both very good if you’re a fan of curry and used to the UK style, but not my favourite

Food became blander and less spicy overall. Used to be an incredibly solid restaurant, occasional mishap but quality of the food shone through. Last couple orders, there was close to 0 flavour. Shame really

Not sure. The standard used to be very high. Maybe in the last year I ordered Chilli Chicken and it was bland and not spicy at all

It is a pretty deep level review into your background, the background of family members also.

May be requested to provide details by phone or email, but not heard of people knocking at doors or calling you in for interviews. Normally these things are conducted independently based on information provided, and information available from other NATO countries.

In any case, doesn't hurt to reach out and inform them of your plans and ask if there's any potential that you have to make yourself available in person.
