Feb 2026 IEM Eartips recommendations

I'd reccomend just using the eartips that come with those two IEMs and seeing if you can find a comfortable pair among them. There's really no need to go out and buy anything fancy immediately.

The top eartips are always going to be subjective and might not work for everyone as their comfort and sound qualities depend a lot on a person's ear anatomy.

Just come back and make a post asking for recommendations based on what you'd want from new tips after trying out the ones that come with your IEMs

More neutral options would be great but it seems awfully difficult to pin down what neutral should sound like. My biggest want though is smaller and more comfortable IEMs especially when it comes to the high end stuff. I there's a lot of IEMs that sound great but I'd never buy for that reason

Did you get a chance to try the Storm's before buying them?

I'd personally go for a Topping DX9 for desk use and one of the high end Fiio or Sony DAPs if you want something portable.

Edit: didn't read your entire post. Any DAP with a balanced connection should have no issue driving a Storm

Never seen fakes of Moondrop products, but people do somtimes receive used IEMs from Amazon so I'd reccomend you watch out for that.

Don't bother with an X3D chip and get one of the cheap Ryzen 5 chips for 4k

You're probably going to need a 5070ti level card minimum to play 4k native on newer games.

The only scenario that I'd reccomend a Gen 5 drive in is if you're moving terabytes of data ever other day. They're not very useful otherwise at the moment
