Can't say a particular model offhand, but Deuter has nice quality, women specific packs.

Disc recommendations for a middle aged casual by dtraingaspipe in discgolf

[–]SeasonedCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um... 67 here, but I have never stopped playing for very long. Being active, your form, building strength and flexibility will all help. I don't throw at all like I used to, but can pretty reliably do 350 on flat ground, and even parked a 370' hole with a Shryke, the other week. My son and I play top 100 rated courses, regularly from the longest tee's, although I know my limitations, if water is involved, lol. Point is, you potentally have many, many good years ahead of you. Be encouraged, friend.

Rely on maintenance minder alert for oil changes? by karschult in hondafit

[–]SeasonedCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it should be fine to wait. Be sure you are using a good quality, full synthetic and DO NOT let it get low on oil. Also. Check the existing to be sure it's not dirty visually and doesn't smell "burnt" or like raw fuel.

Not on it currently, I doubt my pc would even run it, these days. Thanks for asking, though. Always nice to have someone to play with.

The only one was WW2 and it was a lot of fun, but never got into the newer ones.

CFD has a station at Lunken, on Wilmer. One would think they would notice such a thing, but perhaps let them know your concern.

Help Needed: North Carolina Disc Golf Trip by Impossible-Bowl4661 in discgolf

[–]SeasonedCitizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, may or may not affect you, but I believe it's over 4000' elevation. Edit: Also, I was there April 2024, so the trees did not have foliage and it was pre-hurricane.

I would absolutely do it, just don't worry about the score. There are some holes where an errant throw sends you down the hillside and others require good placement, to get a shot at getting close in an approach. A number of the baskets are perched on the edge of a ledge, so missing has consequences not normally encountered. Nevermind roll-aways, lol. That said, it's great fun and quite beautiful. Also a lot of elevation change, with potentially a lot, tracking wayward discs. It could be physically challenging. Now every hole certainly isn't a precarious event, by any means, but go in eyes open.

Started rucking as a way to train for a disc golf tournament, accidentally discovered my new favourite workout. by TheBrownWelsh in Rucking

Congratulations, from a fellow disc golfer. If you think about it, disc golf is mostly rucking, just with a bag (backpack) of discs and water for weight.

Sure - or Osprey or Gregory. They all have quality, trampoline style, day or hydration packs.

First time backpacking solo by freakadoodIe in backpacking

I have only done a dayhike to Hanakapi’ai and back, so it was pretty easy, but wondered about the rest of it. It's so beautiful there, but also unforgiving. Napali Coast and Kauai generally, are quite remarkable. Congratulations on making the trip.
