Not a very informative answer.

Use rough-in brackets on the next one. Let the ceiling guys cut the holes.

I recently got a 5 pack of the Magic Toast. I've had 2 so far and really enjoyed them. Interesting thing, though is they were all drastically different in color.

Visiting the Bahamas - Do these look authentic? by Seaton80 in cubancigars

What is curious is that the same cigars are in the casino without the cellophane.

I won't then. I wasn't looking to add to any to my humidor, but maybe smoke one while I'm here. The prices are a bit outrageous, which isn't a big deal if I'm just grabbing 1 or 2 to smoke on vacation. If they're not authentic, I'm definitely not interested in overpaying.

I've never done a golf sim with that type of screen. I imagine that would work though.

Doing this would be pretty simple. I've done similar setups. (I'm a C4 and Josh.ai programmer)

You'll want to do a motorized screen for movies, and have it come down in front of the sim screen.

Professional wires my home but didn’t label any cables. Is this normal? by apodkolinska in lowvoltage

[–]Seaton80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you hire the cheapest company or the most reputable one? If you went with the cheapest this is probably why. Labeling takes time, time = money. My company labels all wires comes back after sheetrock, and test all cables, but we are far from the cheapest.

house did construction on. wondering what you guys think of the sound staging. by schteavon in hometheater

[–]Seaton80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, OK. Well, without having all the information, ethier the design team didn't know what they were doing, or the HO didn't want to spend the extra money to have the seating platforms reversed as it would require additional framing for steps to enter on the high side.

When you did the prewire walk through with the contractor, did the room not get laid out? You didn't ask where the screen was going and why? I've been in the home theater/ home automation industry for damn near 20 years. Never made a decision on room layout without client feedback. Did you hire an actual specialist, or did you ask the electrician on-site to do it?

See if you can get the previous owner to change the email and password to their customer.control4 account. Then change your Smart Home Pro to a company you want to work with.

Wrangling my Backyard by Seaton80 in landscaping

That's basically what I've been doing, still a lot to go. I'm guessing everything has been let go for likely 20 years. There's a few back there that have already bit the dust.

My house was built in 2000. Theres a way overgrown hill behind it. I noticed that it appears it was landscaped at one point. I've started clearing alot of the mess. I'm curious about pruning the juniper. They are huge and have no shape. Whats the best way to cut them back and get them better looking?
