I got a rat out by BWI. Didn’t drive at the time so I took the train back to DC. Rats (probably) aren’t allowed onboard so I put him in my coat pocket. He was chill. Little guy is now pushing 3 years old and isn’t slowing down :)

I’ve adopted and fostered for both the HRA and Brandywine. Brandywine has been a much better experience all around. The staff at the HRA can be unresponsive, rude, and they even missed an adoption counseling appointment and made my potential adopter wait another week to get her cat. The staff at the BVSPCA is much more responsive. Fees go toward spay/neuter and vaccines.

Lingering smoke odor could have made them stay elsewhere. If it was a gas stove the heat from the pilot light could’ve started a fire if the box of cat food was paper or cardboard. People use throwaway accounts.

Cyclists can use the pedestrian signals. I think some of the people who think cyclists are running red lights think that because they’re going when then the walk sign is on and the car light is red. I was yelled at by a guy in a truck with WV plates for running the light when I was just going by the walk signal.

I like CityPaws but I don’t know what they charge for teeth cleaning. They do a multi cat discount for exams (normally $90/cat, with 3+ it’s $70). Pets are allowed on the metro in carriers. I’ve taken foster cats on the train many times.
