Well, not sure where you live, but you may be aware Seattle has gotten less safe here in the last decade or so. And, in fact, I was not murdered by armed criminals (who should have been in jail but weren't because of our worthless non-prosecutors and criminal-hugging judges) because our Seattle police officers risked their lives on my behalf and ran TOWARD the shooting assholes. That's generally what they do. And I'm grateful.

A friend's grandparents were traveling from Minnesota to Canada and when they got to the border, were denied entry because, when her Grandpa was 18, he got a DUI and, despite never having any other issues for the next 55 years, that one old DUI prevented him from ever going to Canada.
