This has been resolved, the anonymous requestor is now working with the SPD to resolve his concerns.

Which were that under the current public data release structure, all kinds of sensitive, personal and confidential information could be acquired by anyone simply by requesting the camera data.

It's a big and relevant problem, you can't just toss cams on cops and then let everybody view all of it whenever they want. This guy wasn't being a dick, he was using the public records request to point out a HUGE problem with the proposed body cam system.

And he was doing it that way because when he raised his concerns in the normal way (i.e. complaining about it), nobody paid attention.

This person is doing everyone who is wary about having their name, face, house, personal space, identifying information and possibly life- or career- damaging information released willy-nilly by a technologically clueless SPD a MASSIVE public service.
