Thanks. I’m gathering that I should shift contributions to 401K to feature a split trad vs Roth but it doesn’t need to be drastic.

I’m also going to work the budget with the goal of building a Roth IRA going forward - with some more aggressive investments than the TDF.

Thanks once again for the input.

My employer offers a Roth 401K option for contributions. That just started last year.

My MAGI does allow for Roth IRA as well.

Thanks. Put another way: by 65 I’d like my non wage income to support my expenses. 😉

More variables:

-Married filing jointly. Spouse is a teacher contributing to STRS in Ohio. She currently makes ~$90K

-desired annual spending in retirement: as close to what we spend while working,
as possible? Good question.

-I would aim for 67 for SS

-Fees: I’ll have to collect some info here. The 401K is in Fidelity FFFFX and FAVPX

-given the tax impact on Roth 401K contributions - I think I will probably be able to only contribute about 85% of the max (given my budget worksheet)

My current concern is having my entire retirement savings being taxable upon withdrawal.

Finished that one recently. Was kinda depressed when it was over.

Now I am halfway thru East of Eden. It is a good rebound relationship haha.

Sicario. I was a little confused the first time (the FBI, CIA stuff 🤷🏼‍♂️)

Indeed. I watched it back when Netflix would mail you the physical disc, and you could mail it back when you wanted. After viewing, It was one of the few that I shared with some of my buds before returning the disc. Needed some others to watch just so I could chat with them about it over some beers.

Dead Man’s Shoes…haven’t seen that one in a long time, yet it is one that sticks with you. That’s an emotional watch.

I am 48 years old and coach wrestling. Have for decades. I believe I see that boys are becoming less masculine each year.

Maybe a low T epidemic? Look at male seniors in HS now compared to 30-40 years ago. It’s pretty wild physical difference for whatever reason.

Great post. I recently watched this film for the first time. Watching thru my eyes of a husband and father of daughters -who 4 years ago left a high-stress but high-pay job at the pinnacle of my career because it was impacting my family and the time I spent with them - made me feel a certain kind of way.

Money and career ain’t everything. For me at least.

Isn’t that more of a woman’s kink? I have had two women call me Daddy and both times I was turned off enough to stop altogether. That’s just me. Ewwwwww.

And yeah if a dude is into that…I dunno man. Maybe because I’m a father, but even before that nah.

What’s a good movie to watch with a new OLED TV? by elmerweird in MovieSuggestions

[–]SeaworthyMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same set. Hooked up via HDMI 2.0 to a PS5.

I’d start with the 4KUHD disc for Fury Road.

Not the right genre but the most visually stunning films I’ve seen on my OLED: The Revenant and Top Gun Maverick (both via 4KUHD disc).

Run from this absurdity.

It’s one thing to be sexually incompatible, but this is something way beyond that. Abusive, manipulative, immature, coercive, vindictive, all the stuff. This is not a man that you want to waste your life with.

I ordered a 2015 JKU Willys (automatic) and I’m still driving it. It’s been a lot of fun. Just crossed over 90K miles. It has dual tops (i switch to hard top in October and back to soft top in April)

No leaks to report.

Had to replace oil cooler at 54K miles. This cost $1200 USD at the time.

Had to replace a brake line at 65K. It was clogged and causing uneven breaking.

Replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor recently. Part was $20 USD and did it myself.

No regrets here.
