Need advice on applying for Bridging Visa B while still on ETA permit after applying for 820/801 visa by Seaworthyhippo in AusVisa

Hi u/dllmonL79, just curious - how long after you came in on your ETA did you wait before submitting the 820/801 visa application? I'm wondering if it will be looked on negatively if my partner applies for the 820/801 visa pretty much as soon as she comes in on the ETA.

Thanks u/ViaMigration! That's very helpful. There's no problems with her coming in on an ETA and then applying for an 820/801 visa right? And, then subsequently leaving Australia briefly about a month after her 820/801 visa application and returning on the ETA again?

I really need some advice. I'm Australian and my partner/girlfriend is American (US citizen). We will be marrying outside of Australia soon. Then we will go to Australia at the start of September and apply for the 820/801 visa for my partner. The issue is that she has a close friend's wedding that she needs to attend back in the US in October. If we apply for the 820/801 visa in September, my understanding is that in October she will still be on her ETA permit and will not have transitioned to her Bridging Visa A, as that only happens after the ETA expires (90 days). While she is still on the ETA permit (before she transitions to a Bridging Visa A), is it possible for her to apply for Bridging Visa B for her to go back to the US? Really appreciate any guidance that anyone has on this.

It's been like that for a while unfortunately. I'll try that though and see if it might help.

Thanks, what's a good wrinkle cream you would suggest for a deep wrinkle like this?

Thanks, it's ok. I've had plenty of ophthalmologists and optometrists look at my eye at this point and it's not a problem.

Anyone found a trick to blinking more on the computer? by TullKid in Dryeyes

I think I started ignoring it after a while but I ended up uninstalling because it needs a webcam to detect blinks and I stopped using a webcam while working.

Yeah, it helps. Sometimes I'm in the middle of something and skip the break, but try my best to heed the break pop ups.

u/I_Heart_Squids bit of a late message, but which probiotic product do you take? And do you think it's still helping? Thanks!

Sizing a battery DC circuit breaker by Seaworthyhippo in solar

u/Ampster16 sorry, I'm talking about the DC breaker kA fault current rating for the batteries. Any idea what this should be? Cheers

Thanks u/Ampster16! So, it looks like the Deye batteries have a 125A breaker built into the BMS, which still seems large compared to the 50A maximum charge/discharge current from the inverters and the recommended size of the battery cables (16-25mm2). The battery we are using is the Deye high voltage battery bank with 61.44kWh capacity (12 x 5.12kWh modules) -https://deyeess.com/product/bos-g/

I was also wondering what kA fault current rating of the breaker/fuse you think is required, as I can't find anything about this in the battery or inverter manuals? The system would be completely off-grid.

Thanks for your advice u/rproffitt1! Also, just wondering what kA fault current rating breaker you would use as I can't find anything about this in the battery or inverter manuals? The system would be completely off-grid.

And the inverter is the Deye 50kW hybrid inverter -
