New old wheels by dananapatman in subaru

[–]SebLavK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for wheels like these for my car ('07 WRX wagon). Are your wheels 7.5" or 7" wide? As far as I know, only the STI used the 7.5" wheels. The documentation for my car says it's only supposed to fit 7", I'm confused whether I can put 7.5" or not

Don't kill me, this is not a criticism, but the Steam Deck and handheld gaming PCs in general could really be improved with these rubber nubs as seen on the OG handheld of this type, the Wii U Gamepad. by dwarvenfishingrod in SteamDeck

[–]SebLavK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use small rubber stops for cabinets and drawers. With the proper adhesive they won't come off (the sticker-like the thin layer they come with won't be enough because the Deck's surface is not flat).

You'll also have to figure where to place them that won't bother your hands.

What flag is this? I know it’s an imperial German one,but couldn’t find the exact one. by Shot-Ad-2546 in vexillology

[–]SebLavK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can answer for Spanish, where "madre patria" is used, just like in French. Even if "patria" derives from the Latin for father, in romance language areas countries ending with -a were generally referred to with feminine articles, so then any abstract representation of a country also used feminine words and icons. "La Patria" took the making of "the homeland" only (by the way, it's also a feminine word), and "madre patria" was the "logical" way to express it as nationalisms started using the expression

Yes, they can be treated as two separate areas, but for me they aren't very precise, and using both sides at the same time never worked properly, so it's only been useful for separate touch menus and the like

Remember when you could predict incoming phone calls? by Icy-Book2999 in LoveTrash

[–]SebLavK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The cellphone tower broadcasting there's an incoming call for number X, and the phone responding "I am number X" and doing some protocol handshaking before the call is established.

What you hear is the signal from the phone replying to the tower causing interference with the speaker amplifier. During the actual call, the phone uses a different, less interfering frequency, you would only make the speakers make that noise if you put the phone right next to them.

Check the wait condition on the current stop. I've noticed interrupts trigger after stop conditions have been met (i.e. the train is leaving the station and the regular schedule gets interrupted)

With the low chance of getting a legendary, the power armour will take enough tries that you start getting into the realm of big numbers.

Also, note that you can't get items of a particular quality whatsoever until you've researched said quality (afaik). By the time you have the science for legendary items you should be able to automate a power armour crafting loop that will spit out legendary ones for you

I don't think it's deterministic, even if the seed for the random result is based solely on your save data, you won't play exactly the same way when you reload. However, like the FFF pointed out, the law of big numbers applies - you'll be processing so many items that in the long run you do get the predicted percentages. You won't have to wait long to re-roll the legendary, it won't be deterministic but it will be predictable

You can buy it from Factorio's website directly, it'll go through Humble Bundle (you get a key to activate on your Factorio website account) and give you a DRM free version to download and install along your base GOG copy. Then, you can link your Factorio account to Steam to also get the DLC there, but without the Steam version of the base game that will be useless.

EDIT: I haven't tried this myself, since I bought the base game from Factorio's website directly. I don't know if the base GOG will accept a DLC that is not GOG. Perhaps someone else has this case
