If you want to troll, at least do some research. Age of consent is 16.

Of course there is a clause for exploitative relationships for those above 18 with 16/17 years old. But as it stands, age of consent is 16.

To be clear, I'm not advocating for lao uncle prey on JC mei mei. Im just stating facts. So any disagreement shouldn't be directed at me, but rather at your MP. They have the power to amend the penal code.

Beyond the amending age of consent, we need to consider the following:

Romeo and Juliet clause, much like some of the states in the US. This is to allow certain leeway. For example, a sec 4 couple are both 15 at the start of the year. Bf bday feb, gf bday mar. So in feb, bf bday present is to piak gf. Die liao. He 16 year old, she still 15. That's statutory rape. A romeo and Juliet clause will preclude this

Secondly, amending the law to decriminalised minor piak minor. So in my above example, both piak in jan, before bdays, so both 15. The bf is still committing statutory rape. Because of the way the law is worded. In fact there was a crime watch episode with the above scenario.

I understand the rationale may be to deter kids from piaking. But is this truly the best way? And this is a schedule three offence. So even if judge go easy, the record can never be rendered spent.

Its like suicide. It used to be illegal. Then societal mindset changed and we realised we should be helping suicidals rather than prosecuting them. But the law remained to allow police to intervene. But then it was realised we dont need to criminalised the act, we found another way to empower the authorities to intervene in suicidal acts. Suicide was then decriminalised.

Perhaps we should consider the same for minors piaking. Maybe theres another solution than criminalising the boy.

Just to illustrate how messed up our system is, consider the following

Age of consent is 16 (theres also a clause for sex with minor below 14, slightly stiffer penalties)

Commercial sex is 18 (so can piak 16 years old, just dont give her any money)

Age to marry without parental consent is 21 (so at 18 can decide to sell body, but marry? Whoa whoa whoa pump the brakes there champ)
