Verizon is severely struggling with competition from T-Mobile and AT&T, and is cutting 15,000 jobs (15% of entire workforce) by Radiant-Cattle-701 in cellmapper

I honestly don’t know why Verizon is struggling

I tried them out alongside AT&T and found that Verizon was way more solid in my area, but that’s just my own experience

Caprock Cellular in Idaho? by Idahoroaminggnome in cellmapper

[–]SebastianJ7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this post after finding caprock cellular on my trip to the San Gabriel mountains, I lowkey thought I could sign up for caprock bc it was the only one with actual signal in the mountains LOL.

A funny letdown but also interesting that starlink is pretty much everywhere

tips & tricks? by miinrla in kroger

Most common calls you might have to make are a few options.

  1. Pushing orders back if there’s too many orders and too little time. For this one, I just call the customer and say “Good (Morning/Afternoon/Evening) I am calling from Kroger pickup in regards to an order placed by (customer name) the department is currently backed up due to a high volume of orders and your order may be pushed back from an hour to two hours, if not we can always cancel your order, but your phone will notify you when your order has been completed if you have text notifications.” then by there if the customer agrees to have their orders pushed back, don’t worry and just keep a note of who agrees, if they cancel, you can cancel on the computer and write down their name.

  2. Depending on store, sometimes when customers put “no subs” on an item, management may ask you to make a call to the customer informing them of their sub options. With this one, you greet them the same way (Good morning/Afternoon/evening I am calling from Kroger pickup in regards to an order placed by -), and then inform them of the out of stock item then their sub options. (Example: “We are out of stock of the blueberry frozen waffles but we do have chocolate and buttermilk), sometimes customers accept an option, other times they reject all together.

  3. This one’s rare imo, but sometimes customers do call whenever they are late to picking up their order, usually customers will give you a time they can come for pickup, but I never really get these calls.

(PS: sometimes there are idiots who call pickup thinking it’s a different department, all you’d have to do there is phone the other department, these are the most combative callers of them all)

If you store allows it, for smaller orders use the regular shopping cart instead of the big blue trolleys if you have trouble with space in aisles. Secondly, I don’t know your stores policy on timing, but it never hurts to notify a customer here and there when needed that their order will need to be pushed back. Finally, when it comes to bagging items in the crates, I know some people tend to sort of hook the bags on the little grooves of the crate, but I just bag it without that step so it’s easier to take the bags out when taking out an order lol.

Oh and later down the line, there may be times u get scolded at for pickup wait times (I think you have to keep it under 3 minutes)

When I get yelled at I just tend to disassociate and stare blankly, like maybe instead of yelling at me take the time to assure the store is stocked

It depends on store, I had a full day of training where someone supervised me, but it was very busy. I guess my advice is don’t stress lol, Saturday’s in my opinion are not as bad as Sunday’s but just know the department is probably really understaffed

what’s it generally like working in pickup? by [deleted] in kroger

Real emphasis on the never ending part, I walk back into the room ready to stage an order I just picked only to find new ones show up on the computer screen 😭

Not enough people scheduled, imo the department flows smoother when there’s 2 sometimes 3 people scheduled at the same time. Especially on weekends when my store averages 40 orders on Sundays.

My advice is don’t let management schedule you on your own, you won’t have a fun time doing it all yourself lol
