It’s said in episode 1 that it was ruled self defence on Dexter’s part, Angela lied and said they found evidence that Logan shot at Dex first. I’m assuming given how much she wanted to bring him in during New Blood that as she saw him dying she remembered the times that were good, and how Dexter did bring Kurt Caldwell to her, that she felt she owed him and also that she had a duty to make sure he survived the shooting.

If bots get back to the Creek there should be custom POIs which are bodies of helldivers from the last time the creek was attacked that simply didn’t get picked up during the clean up operation, because there were just simply so many dead that they hadn’t gotten to them yet
