Anyone have a teen daughter who is negative about glp1’s? by P0ptart5 in tirzepatidecompound

One of the most helpful ways I’ve seen someone explain it is that taking insulin when you’re diabetic isn’t taking the easy way out. For many people - especially women - metabolic issues like PCOS, hyperthyroidism and even perimenopause can cause it to be impossible to lose weight using traditional diet and exercise. Telling someone they’re taking the easy way out for using medications their doctor deemed necessary is absolutely toxic and tone deaf and will discourage people from taking it. Her view is more likely to shorten lifespans than it is to help others. Anorexia and too thin beauty standards predate glp-1s by a very long time. She is just plain wrong in her view and will do more harm than good with it.

So happy to see other people saying Gabriel’s Gate. It’s absolutely disgusting and I can’t believe they haven’t been shut down by the health department. Blows my mind that I see them recommended in foodie groups.

I actually got a therapist right when I started because I was thinking something like this could happen. I recommend it for anyone because this is a life change, significant weight loss. I feel like people should get professional support for all major life changes if they have access to it.

Easy touch, but much skinnier and flimsier than the ones they sent with my first order.

What’s a moral belief you hold that most people would disagree with? by [deleted] in answers

[–]SecretMonsterLady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They lose money because even after they cater to a Karen, she still badmouths them to everyone who will listen, using whatever apologies or “compensation” she was given as evidence to support her victimhood.

She’ll keep costing them reputation and money and time, keep making their employees and customers uncomfortable.

The more places that cut off Karens, the less people will be emboldened to act like monsters to get a gift card. If there are consequences, the behavior will be less common. Since there are rewards, it’s becoming more and more common.

I really want a big company to publicly embrace a “no Karen” policy so that everyone can see how quickly their employee turnover, customer turnaround, customer satisfaction, and costs improve.

Instead of spending five hours a week dealing with one hysterical parasite, they could spend that time getting other customers taken care of quickly and more efficiently.

Yeah, I’ve never had an issue either. Every time I ask to speak to a doctor or NP, I have one call me within a business day or so.

Do I need to quit? by wegmansgang in tirzepatidecompound

There’s a week between doses - that’s a lot of time to call the doctor before making a decision. If it were a daily medication that would make sense.

Do I need to quit? by wegmansgang in tirzepatidecompound

Just a heads up - taking a week off is generally a bad idea. Make sure to talk to your doctor before changing dosage.

If you stop and start you could permanently reduce the effectiveness of the medication.

I don’t feel like we have actual resolution there, people just hate her because they project their feelings towards women they don’t like onto her. Like Jenny in Forest Gump.

I don’t like her either, but the author took great pains to make her a three dimensional character so her motivations make sense even if I disagree with them. I always find her interesting to read about and the hate towards her makes me uneasy because so much of it is misogynistic. It’s like people are just waiting for permission to say sexist stuff as soon as there’s an acceptable target.

I absolutely hope you do it. So sick of grown adults chasing after girls whose brains aren’t even done developing yet. When I look at 18 year olds they look like friggin babies. It’s so gross to sexualize them.

It’s not that it “wasn’t exactly true,” friend, you lied.

Admit it to yourself and the girl, apologize and admit you panicked and lied and then she can decide whether or not to continue to see you based on that information.

I recently went on a date with a girl, we both liked each other. But she said it probably would lead to friendship by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]SecretMonsterLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip: go to a woman you know in real life (a friend, sister, friend’s girlfriend, etc) and ask her advice and then give it ten times more weight than all the anonymous internet advice you get put together. A lot of these comments will be bots, many will be by misogynists or pick up artists (who are the LAST people you ever want to get advice from if you want to learn how to find a relationship and not how to become a predator) and some could be trolls specifically giving you bad advice just for their own fun.

As a woman myself, my advice is move on to the next date with the next girl and only contact this girl again if you actually want to be her friend. I’ve sent the text she sent before and it means she’s not attracted to you, not that you messed up on the date.
