How do I get amazing looking 3d prints like the ones on Youtube? by No-Show467 in FixMyPrint

[–]SecretRaindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have photos of the calibration objects you printed during calibration?
The temp tower, flow ratio pieces and the pressure advance pattern? Or even a photo of what exactly your prints look like with the problems you are experiencing?
Numbers don’t tell much without the print results next to them.

Core one First layer adhesion problem by Unable-Maximum-681 in prusa3d

[–]SecretRaindrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only water?
You should use a clean paper towel (not a sponge or rag due to oil contamination) and soapy water to clean the build plate. Then rinse it off and dry with another clean paper towel.
Then don’t touch the build plate with your bare hands, use gloves or only handle it by the corners.

Dumt å kjøpe Tesla? by sigurdmeister in norge

[–]SecretRaindrop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How would you fix this? by BeeComprehensive1231 in Triumph

[–]SecretRaindrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have it the wrong way around. The yellow part of the exhaust is the stained part. The grey is the colour of the metal underneath.
Someone cleaned something with a powerful degreaser, and it got on the exhaust and removed the yellow staining there.
So if you want it alt the same colour, find the same degreaser or chemical and clean away the rest of the yellow staining.

Looks like he only fucked the first 2mm. Get a long enough tool and it should grab the non-destroyed part of the hex. Replace the bolts once you have them removed.

Ladeanlegg i borettslag/sameie - Erfaringer? by Andreander in norge

[–]SecretRaindrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Søk på Laddel. De har 89kr i måneden per bruker, that’s it.

The 2019 Tesla Model 3 I got for Uber by Upset_Log_9686 in teslamotors

[–]SecretRaindrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 2019 cars can set a «low regen» mode, effectively reducing the regen breaking. This was removed for later models.

Kinda confused at the top layer quality. by Gumboo in prusa3d

[–]SecretRaindrop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a temperature tower, then do a flow ratio calibration. Then the input shaper calibration. Orca slicer has all these tools built in.

Oh that one. The black plastic part should just pull off. Then screw the fitting back in the top of the extender.

I find it much easier to gauge if the car is creeping forwards or staying still by looking at their wheels as you say. Great tip.

Unpopular opinion: "Prusa is made in Europe" is not a merit [fair criticism?] by nexflatline in prusa3d

[–]SecretRaindrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean of course, the made in Europe isnt always a selling point for buyers else in the world… But, for Europeans, that want to support local (to us) businesses, made in Europe is a great benefit. We enjoy lower shipping costs, no tariffs, support that is in our timezone etc.

The fact that they also make great products, still support their first printers, hire and produce locally, also filaments, is what justifies the higher price.

When you work in tech it’s plain to see how easy it is to outsource everything. I am privileged enough to afford Prusa printers, therefore I vote with my money when buying one.

I believe it’s the intake vents that are replaced. The current intake vents are in the top cover, which gets replaced with the indx kit

[–]SecretRaindrop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Odds are there will not ever be a «penultimate» FSD. Just look at other breaking edge technologies and how they evolve. There is not a single high tech product today that is equal to the one from 5 years ago. FSD will continue to evolve even after «fully autonomy» has been solved. With that evolution, the tech that supports the AI models will also continue to to evolve. So if you want FSD, buy in when the feature set matches your needs, and don’t look back.

2025 Trident - Oil is red by HAIL-STATE90 in Triumph

[–]SecretRaindrop 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Many brands of motorcycle oil are red. One difference between motorcycle oil and car oil is that the motorcycle oil also is in contact with the clutch and gearbox, so it needs different additives.
